If your interests fall among the stars then look no further than Clark Planetarium which houses both Imax and laser light shows within its large domed theater. Fans of local history may enjoy the Fort Douglas Military Museum which is housed in a 19th century barracks. The museum has a number of exhibits on the history of Utah and the West. The museum also includes an outdoor cannon and military vehicle park. For outdoor recreation there is the Tracy Aviary and Botanical Gardens, and the Redbutte Gardens which is a one hundred acre arboretum.

 

Transportation

Public transportation in Salt Lake City is operated by the Utah Transit Authority. The transportation services offered include commuter trains, buses, and a light-rail known as TRAX, which provides access between the airport and the ski resorts on the other side of town. The commuter train is called FrontRunner and it provides transportation all the way from Ogden to Provo with limited stops.
