Residential Care Home
They were beyond wonderful. It was more like a bed & breakfast. Very personal attention given. They were kind & very caring when mom went into hospice and were with het around the clock when we couldn't be there.
My mother enjoyed her time at Pond View. It became home to her and a second home to the rest of the family. The staff truly cared for mom, yet respected her independence and supported her when she needed help.
My mom has been at Ave Care a little over a month now. The atmosphere is friendly, bright and homelike. The owner is often present and has been forthright with her concerns about my mother's behavior issues. My mom although is very forgetful she is still bright and active. Many of the residents are further along in their disease and are not quite as interactive. I do wish there were more activities for my mom. Certain services are not there that were originally proposed, such as the hairdresser no longer comes and that would have been a big convenience and cost saving for me and something my mother always enjoyed "having her hair done" Overall the staff seem caring. Meals are prepped in open kitchen. I know she is getting better and a more personalized care than if she were placed in a large facility. I would recommend Ave Care.
