They were beyond wonderful. It was more like a bed & breakfast. Very personal attention given. They were kind & very caring when mom went into hospice and were with het around the clock when we couldn't be there.

So professional yet homey. I likened the accommodations to an upscale bed & breakfast. Staff was genuinely caring. They treated mom with the utmost respect & love. I stopped by pretty much every day for the first couple months. There was never a problem with that or with whatever time I arrived.

Mansfield location provides nothing more than a hot meal and a drink having to move in and move out in the same year explains the loneliness here. overall wouldn’t recommend unless you have zero care needs. not even comparable to a group home which we moved out of from PA and sadly this was worse.

We thought Colonial Manor was excellent, we cannot say enough great things about them. The community is immaculate, and they truly treated our loved one like family. They were very attentive, very conscientious and professional. We were just excellent.

We had a nice tour experience with Colonial Manor Hackettstown. For us the cost was a little too high and also this is a very small home. We thought my dad would thrive being in a bigger environment with more people to interact with.
The community is very nice, and the food is pretty good but it lacks seasoning. The community is very quiet and there are not a lot of activities, I would recommend this community to others

The community seems clean whenever we go. The staff is good and there is one woman in particular who is great with my mother-in-law. The care seems to be 1 on 1 and it seems like all her needs are met. They do offer bingo and cards for activities, which my mother-in-law does enjoy. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, they offered exercise classes. Outside of that, there isn't much in the way of entertainment. We do think the community is a good value for the price.

The facility was fine, but it definitely was not a good fit for my loved one. They seemed more like stand-alone, independent living apartments rather than a senior living residence. There weren't very many services available to my loved one.

They do a fantastic job here! It's a beautiful well kept community. Everything is always immaculately clean! The staff are very friendly, and take great care of the people who live here. I've had quite a bit of experience with senior communities with another relative, and this is far and away one of the best I have seen! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking into senior care!

My Mom was, like many seniors, reluctant to transition to an assisted living environment. Nevertheless, she is quickly becoming comfortable at Colonial Manor thanks in large part to the friendly, caring staff and the positive environment created by its happy residents, The facility is attractive and welcoming and services are first rate. We believe the cost represents excellent value. Overall, our family is very pleased to have discovered Colonial for our Mom.

==My mother's at the original Colonial Manor, the old rambling farmhouse on acreage just outside Hackettstown (& near the shopping center). She likes it. The owners care about their guests (in fact, they're extra fond of my mother because she, at 90 years old, is reasonably active & in possession of pretty much all of her faculties), ==Some of the residents are a bit vague & not active. The restrictions in this location are they don't keep patients who have bad Alzheimer's Disease or have other mental conditions that make them hard to handle (physically disabled, yes). The doctors come to the residents on a schedule. ==The price isn't sky-high. The food could be better, Mom says, but it's okay (she says there are too many carbs). It did improve some in the last year after they got a new cook (but I gather they could use some good recipes). ==Mom has a decent-sized room with her own bathroom w/roll-in shower (she uses a shower stool). It's big enough for her single bed (comes w/the place) & my old BR furniture (desk, chair, endtable, large dresser) plus a few extra things like a rocking chair & side table. All she has to do is make her bed, they do the rest. Mom also keeps her car there & still uses it now & then during the day. ==They run a bus to the public library & the shopping center. They have movie night, bingo night, & other activities. They also keep chickens, a guinea hen or two, & a couple of fairly tame pheasants that wandered into the yard after one of the big storms. One of the owners is starting to garden a bit. There are two little dogs (Jack Russell-sized) that are a bit testy to strangers (I think it's just a matter of getting properly acquainted with them). ==All in all, it's a good place. But they have to improve the food...

This is a great place for my Mom. She has really enjoyed herself here. It's a smaller, very personal feeling community. The staff show genuine interest in all of the residents, and the questions they ask and services they perform go beyond just making sure a persons "care needs" are taken care of, they really want them to be happy. We moved her here from another very nice community, but the size and atmosphere here are a much better fit for her, not to mention the price here is significantly less.

It's fabulous! Couldn't be nicer! You get good meals and it's a quiet place. My sister loves it and I never thought she'd love any place. The same owners have another place with more activites but she doesn't like a lot of stuff to do. She's very content to I'm happy. There's really nothing I dislike. Everybody is nice and pleasant. I would recommend it highly!
