The staff at this care home work with the family. They are flexible and get to know the residents. There is a Registered Nurse on site. The community is clean as they are particular about the environment. They are knowledgeable about the rules and regulations in Oregon. The food seems healthy and is homemade. They offer fresh vegetables. They do go on occasional outings and they have card games and puzzles to cater to each resident.
So far, things have been going well at West Slope. The home is very nice and it is clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and attentive to the residents. We have had a good experience with them.
My 89-year old mother is non ambulatory and has cognitive dysfunction. My greatest concern was that she would be left in front of the TV all day. I had to fight her to get her out of bed when she lived in my home. She has only been in the Rose City Adult Care Home for two weeks so she is still adjusting, but I drop by at different hours nearly every day and I have yet to find her in her room.
