Residential Care Home
When you walk in the front door, you feel like you are in someones house. It is very warm and inviting and not institutional at all. The cleanliness of the home is great, we have showed up with planned and non planned visits and the place is always spotless. There is a set menu with a wide variety of meals from what I have been able to see. Since it is a smaller place, they have the ability to give more options and can be more accommodating. It is always the same staff that rotates, so there is a lot of consistency which is very nice. The caregivers themselves give us great details when we ask questions. They also call us whenever they have any questions for us and they have constant communication. The resident to staff ratio here is great. I would highly recommend them to others who are looking.
I would recommend it. I didn't see anything that was bad about it. This was no reflection on them, but Covid was going on, and you had to make an appointment to visit. They were just following the rules required of them, and they were good about making sure that only one family was there at a time. My loved one was very happy. He said they were really good to him, and he loved being there. They were always cooking a good meal, and I could smell that when we came to visit. We would sit with him when he was eating, and the food looked very good. It was a homecooked meal, not fast food or microwaved. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I felt like the cost was comparable to other places, and we got what we paid for. They certainly treated him well while he was there.
