Willowwood Assisted Living in Albuquerque, NM
4.9

The staff members at Willowood Assisted Living are so great and friendly and our loved one is really well taken care of. He always looks clean and is being fed really well. We have absolutely no complaints or see any red flags with this community. His favorite thing is sitting outside in the courtyard to enjoy the fresh air. They have people come and play music for the residents. They have exercises, and what we really liked is before our loved one moved in they already had a dresser and a bed for him. The community does not feel clinical at all, not sterile but like a home. Also communication is very important to our family and they communicate with us about everything no matter how big or small something may be.

Harmony House in Rio Rancho, NM
5.0

Harmony is a wonderful Residential Care Facility. The facility is three houses which hold about 8 to 10 residents each. There are one person bedrooms and bedrooms that are cut in half, so there will be two people per room. There are three houses, not a 100 people housed in one big building. They are cozy, warm and decorated as you would decorate your home. The meals are home-cooked and so are the snacks! My mother, who is 90 years old lives in one of them. There are always two or more staff on hand. They cook, clean, and take care of all residents. They provide the nursing staff, and calls on medical teams that are needed for each client. My mother has her doctor stop by, her foot nurse who takes care of her feet, and even x-ray technician stop by as needed. For activities there are the TV in every room and in the living room. There are books to read and people that stop by to paint nails, dance, and pray with the clients. The residents and staff takes walks and there are bar-b-ques in the back of the house. [Name removed], the owner, is understanding about the cost of the facility. [Name removed] can bend the rules a little when the family of the clients have financial hardships. It is such a relief to have someone understand the difficulties of having a loved one in a Living Assistance Facility. Lastly, it feels like home and your loved one is safe and loved.

Vista Sandia Assisted Living in Albuquerque, NM
4.8

Vista Sandia is a house and the residents are frequently out in the common area interacting with each other and not being isolated in their rooms. The staff talk to our loved one and try to help. They offer up a lot of services, and is being well taken care of. We are happy with how things are going so far. We would recommend this community to others.

What are care homes?

Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10.
