Who are you searching for?
Residential care homes in Burbank may appeal to seniors who value smaller, more close-knit communities and many opportunities for socialization. Burbank care homes typically take in fewer residents, meaning older adults know each resident in the home and develop strong friendships.
Older-adult care homes vary more than other options for senior living in Burbank, so families can choose from a wide range of prices, amenities, and services. A Place for Mom will work with you to understand the cost of care homes. From there, we’ll help you find the right fit, whether you’re staying on a budget or searching for luxury retirement communities.
We are also serving Residential Care Home facilities in surrounding neighborhoods like Chandler Park, Magnolia Park and Northwest District.
You may also consider nearby communities such as Los Angeles, Glendale or Universal City.

Residential Care Home
When our family decided it was time for our dad to move into assisted living, a friend recommended we call A Place For Mom. I went online and filled out a questionnaire asking basic questions as to the location, needs, urgency to move and someone called me within minutes. We were given the names and addresses of 5 potential places to move our dad. The first board & care we visited was Hollywood Healthy Living in the San Fernando Valley. We met with the owner and she showed us the home, introduced us to staff and residents and answered all of our questions. We left and visited the other 4 homes but kept finding reasons they were not a good fit for our dad. We returned to HHL and moved him in within a few weeks. He has now been there almost 2 years. The owners and staff treat him like family. He is very happy there and has never asked us to move him or take him home. That is very reassuring to us all. I would highly recommend HHL !
My experience was very good my granny had fun and she wanted to go there every time we left somewhere, thank you for taking good care of my granny. This is a great place to leave your grandma or grandpa
I toured several facilities with my mother, [name removed], before deciding on Las Casitas. What struck me about Las Casitas was the sense of community and warmth of the caregivers. Several options we toured were vast residences and were too tough to imagine putting my mother into, but at Las Casitas I felt she was moving into a place where she would be cared for and nurtured. It is always hard to make these decisions to move your parent to a home, but the Administrator and staff made it as easy as possible. We are very glad to have made the choice to move to Las Casitas.

Planning ahead can better position you to make good choices for your loved one’s care in the future. But if your aging family member needs care now, there are ways to finance the cost of long-term care through a combination of approaches.
Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10. Like assisted living communities, staff at care homes typically help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. Although residential care homes vary significantly depending on the community, services usually include:
Known as the “Media Capital of the World,” Burbank is home to major production facilities like Warner Bros. Entertainment and The Walt Disney Company, and several of the most iconic attractions in the Los Angeles area — such as Universal Studios, Griffith Observatory, and the Hollywood Sign — are just south of town. Within city limits, local festivals and businesses in downtown Burbank create the city’s sense of community and identity.
In Burbank, residential care homes — sometimes called care homes, board and care homes, group homes, or personal care homes — are often houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually 10 or less. Similar to assisted living but in a smaller, more residential setting, these homes provide supervision, organized events, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This means care homes can help with everyday routines but typically do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing assistance.
The median monthly cost of a room in a care home in 2019 was about $3,500 in Burbank, the metropolitan area, and the state of California. However, the cost of living in a care home depends largely on location. Since the homes are private residences, costs are tied to real estate value and therefore may vary greatly.
The total household expenses associated with living in Burbank are rated six points above the national average. Grocery and other essential costs are also rated above the average.
