Of all the facilities we toured by far Brookridge was the best. We felt a genuine connection to the community there. From the greeting we received to the end of the tour we saw smiles, eye contact, generosity, sincerity, kindness, and true caring. From [name removed] warm smile and genuine interest in my mom, to her respect and love for every resident and staff member we felt a sense of belonging. Every person we came in contact with was helpful and happy to answer questions and provide feedback. The residents were well cared for and engaging, and it was obvious how much the staff enjoys working there. It was like being welcomed into a family home. There is a true sense of community at which is why my mother decided she would like to be a part of this “family.” The lunch we were served was better than any restaurant food I’ve ever had. I loved meeting the staff! They take pride in what they do. I also learned that the staff gets to personally know the residents and everyone is valued!
The staff was nice, my mom seemed to like everyone who cared for her. My mom seem to enjoy bingo, she didn't really participate in much else, she was not physically active. I don't really know what else they offered. How could they improve on the food? I'm not sure, she only seemed to enjoy eating the salads.
The staff take very good care of my Mom. They are very attentive to her needs. Mom is happy there. Always clean and well kept. Staff is very friendly and my mom has a special relationship with them. They provide a high quality of care and when mom needs medical attention she gets it. High turnover of cooking staff who are usually are usually very young and often inexperienced. They do try their best and make good food. Cooking staff is wonderful to my mom. Lots of activities and they work hard to engage and include the residents in fun and interesting activities. The service is invaluable and the cost is high. It is expensive but I am glad we can afford to have mom as a resident.
