The food is most times horrible. All the residents complain among themselves. For the monthly fees, the food should be outstanding. I've been in the food industry – it's not difficult to prepare "good" meals for a reasonable cost. Quarantine is unreasonable!

This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include communities must make reasonable accommodations to meet dietary requirements and religious and ethnic preferences, menus must be reviewed and approved by a nutritionist or dietician to ensure nutritional appropriateness, communities must make reasonable accommodations to make snacks, fruit, and beverages available when requested, and communities must make reasonable accommodations to provide meals in a resident’s room if needed on a temporary basis. Staff members obtain training in a variety of fields. These areas include emergency and evacuation procedures, community policies and procedures, procedures for and legal requirements concerning the reporting of abuse and critical incidents, and instruction in the specific responsibilities of each employee’s job. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include health related services that accommodate individual resident’s changing needs and preferences, activities, assisted living services, and health-related services that are designed to allow the individual to reside in the least restrictive setting of his/her choice. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include Staff may open the medicine container if the resident lacks the ability to open the container, the resident may be physically assisted in pouring or otherwise taking medications, and assistance with self-administration. There must be one toilet for every 1 residents and one bath or shower for every 1 residents. This type of community is required to have a staff member on duty 24 hours a day. menus must be planned or approved by a registered licensed dietician if the resident has a medically prescribed diet The minimum number of residents for this community type is 2. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to assure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as assessment of the resident’s needs and preferences, The service plan must include the scope of services that will be provided to meet the resident’s needs, service plan must be revised when a resident’s condition or preferences change, and pre-admission appraisal.
