Memory Care
My loved one lived in Red Cedar for only a short time before going to another community, but while he was there, they were wonderful. They were very encouraging trying to get everyone involved in activities, and [Removed], in particular, was very accommodating, very sincere, and very forthright. The food here always smelled wonderful, and they typically had a chef there seven days a week so things were prepared fresh. I appreciated that the dynamic of the community was quiet and very low key. I think Red Cedar would be best suited for easy going, quiet people.
It's very clean, very new, and very easy to access. If a family member is very able bodied, I would suggest the 2nd floor because it has some neat stuff up there, for instance a theater, salon, and library. The staff seem to be very helpful. Mom stays really busy with activities. It seems comparatively priced to other places nearby. Right now it's an especially good value because it's brand spanking new and not at full occupancy. The only thing I've found that to be challenging is trying to reach the staff on the weekends. That's when I'm generally available to visit, but the staff doesn't answer the phones well during that time.
