Landing at Woodland Lakes in Conroe, TX

Since Dad started his journey at Landing at Woodland Lakes, it's like watching him conduct a symphony of life. He's surrounded by support, yet free to compose his days with activities he loves. The blend of care, community, and personal space is music to our ears.

Spring Creek Village
4.6

We chose Spring Creek Village because of the convenient location and they offered us a desert and it was homemade and amazing so we figured the meals would be just as good. We also figured since it was a bigger company that they had more resources, especially with memory care. We did have a hiccup in the beginning, it was like no one was following through and they were not double checking about the medication with us and there were some communication issues, but that was corrected as soon as it was brought to their attention. Form what I can tell on their Facebook page they have a lot of activities provided for the residents. They are very good with communication and keeping us updated on what is going on on any changes that are taking place. My mom said they get 3 meals a day as well as snacks and they enjoy the food. Said said they are well taken of. I would recommend to others who are looking, I would just tell others to make sure to be your loved ones advocate to make sure that everything is being followed through and that communication is key.

Brookdale Champion Oaks in Houston, TX

- change in staff w/o notify family, but new staff are skilled, courteous and kind to my mom - poor communication among nursing staff (NPs - Nurse- Medtech) It's been 9 mos and the PCPs & NO had a change - I still haven't met the second NO assisted by the PCP. The different shift nurses aren't kept within the loop. Mom feel and went to hospital, was discharged and I was surprised the shifts didn't know about her fall. Also mom was acting out of character, I had to tell the NO and she also didn't know about it (she was on vacation) until a week later and then was put on an antibiotic (no urine collected) but could have had a UTI which is why she was acting out. She is much better. If I didn't go see my mom 2-4 times a week. I wouldn't know. I still rate the facility a 5 because the caregiving staff and director is kin and works with me when I do have an issue. Mom likes the place
