Our family has had a great experience over at Shields. It is not a huge place and everyone is always so friendly. We get our concerns taken care of and the communication has been awesome. We are a big family with a lot of idea's and they never seem bothered by all of our suggestions.
I was looking for a place for my mom for quite some time. I visited Welcome Home and fell in love! The homes are beautiful! Once I placed my mom I was pleased to find our that the staff truly care about the elderly. I am beyond happy that I found Welcome Home! My mom is doing very well, enjoys the activities, and has made friend. What more could I ask for?
Everything was great with Brookdale Saginaw. They could not have been more helpful during the whole transition period. They were very friendly and understanding. She was in memory care and it looked to me like they really tried to engage residents both socially and activities wise. For example they sent a picture of her working in the garden. Not being isolated is very important for dementia residents. From a care standpoint they were really on their game. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others.
