We recently moved to Richmond. Guardian has been wonderful for our Mom. She is very happy there. Caring management and fast friendly attention to unavoidable maintenance.
We are at happy here at Atlantic Twin Hickory. Our two bedroom unit is quiet and was just what we were looking for. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is not a issue Location is great close to all that Short Pump has to offer.
Overall it’s a nice place. My mom needs a lot of help. She is not as mobile as most of the other residents. The aids seem to really like her. And I have become friendly with some of them. I love the chef and the activities director. Both are very spiritual and have the residents happiness at heart. I visit often and have noticed some things that are bothersome. Her sheets are not changed regularly. They don’t give her her teeth daily. Some days there is no bra. Hair not combed. She needs help with all of this. If they give her her teeth she can put them in. If they give her a comb she can run the comb through her hair. These are things that bother ME. Not having a bra on doesn’t seem to bother her. Haha. But when she was being cared for by family members this wasn’t an issue. So I guess I got used to that kind of care. She seems happy for the most part. she enjoys the activities when she participates. It’s pretty clean there.
