I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. I like the fact that the community is small, and the residents get more individualized care. It is easier for the residents to make friends. The rooms are nice size. They keep the community clean. They are receptive questions and concerns.

My mom has been there for almost a year. [name removed], the new activities director is AMAZING! She has added great quality-of-life activities for the memory residents as well as the assisted living residents. Monthly bday parties with live music, on sight hair and nail professionals, a Chapel with nondenominational religious services, and daily opportunities for us to volunteer make this the perfect home for our mom.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home provides room and board to at least two seniors who have no personal ties to the administrator. A nursing home facility provides its residents with around-the-clock care by on-site nurses. Nursing homes can be a convenient and easy living alternative for individuals 65 years and above, however nursing homes will commonly allow persons 55 and older which is uncommon for other senior care types. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to be free from restraints, get information on services and fees, exercise your rights as a U.S. citizen, and form or participate in resident groups. The most frequent mental condition effecting residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their memory recall, decision making capabilities, and and familiarity. Examples of amenities and servicesprovided at nursing homes can include senior centers, patient and caregiver education, rehabilitation needed due to injury, disability, or illness, and adult day services . Nursing homes are required to provide nursing and related services, dietary services, emergency dental services, and room and bed maintenance services to residents. A large portion of nursing home occupants are seniors who have incontinence issues, require assistance with daily tasks such as getting dressed, have mental or physical disabilities, or experience difficulty with vision and hearing.
