My dad is doing great, it was a little adjustment at first but going good now. We love the facility. It is bright and airy and there is more for them to do. They were my favorite when touring. I like that they can go outside and walk in the garden when he wants. They also have a mini golf course and he loves golf. The staff answer any calls and texts. He is starting to get involved with the activities and they sent us some picture of him being involved. He is eating all of the meals and it looks good and pretty healthy.
This is a gorgeous but mellow place with caring staff members. I had surgery and my needs were complex and the nursing team was able to make me feel safe and their expertise to hospital like procedures kept me worry free. I was discharged home with their outpatient therapy. Their therapy is top notch. The best therapy team you'll find anywhere. The therapy gym is clean. I toured upstairs too before being discharged. I toured a couple of model rooms and they are gorgeous. Some bigger than others but beautiful. Food is provided at the assisted living. It was very impressive to see that the therapy team work with the residents in the assisted living patients too. The breakdown was good and I knew when my wound doctor came and the infectious disease, they had pain management doctor coming in too. Therapy used dry needling to ease my pain. As i said my case was complex, they had a machine in therapy that helped me deal with incontinence. Thank you health care of Plano for a job well done
The Plaza at Edgemere is a great place! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Adam does an amazing job with the food and restaurants. It has everything a person could want. A beauty salon. A ride to church. Great food. Fun activities. Happy hour. And the building, art and gardens are truly beautiful.

A nursing home is an establishment that houses at least two seniors who have no family ties to the administrator. This type of complex provides its inhabitants with 24-hour care by on-site nurses. These nurses provide health related services for people who cannot care for their needs.
Nursing homes can be a familiar and comfortable care alternative for persons 65 years and above, however nursing homes will often accept individuals 55 and older which is for other senior care types. Some services come at an extra cost which can include flowers and plants, personal clothing, and personal reading materials. Examples of care services and amenities offered at nursing homes might include home care (like cooking, cleaning, or help with other daily activities), skilled nursing or medical care, senior centers, and help with shopping and transportation. The most frequent mental condition experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their and their sense of familiarity, decision making capacities, and memory function. Often times individuals might decide life in a nursing home over another type of facility due to a physical or mental impairment that makes it difficult for them to accomplish their standard of living.
