The physical plant is inviting. No two rooms are alike and they are well kept and up to date. All of the workers (aides, nurses and other staff) are very professional and seem to care deeply for the residents. They are ready to handle any situation as it arises. The whole place is "home-y", very clean and quiet. There is an enormous backyard that residents can use in good weather to just enjoy the sun or garden. The food is served in a nice dining room with coffee available ad lib. Many levels of care are available. I feel that my mother is very safe there and well taken care of.
The overall experience is excellent considering the grief and situation of my brother. I'm not there but I get reports that it's very clean and when he urinated in his chair they asked my permission to throw it away. The staff is great. [name removed] reports and discusses, [name removed] the nurse is great, and when I call every Wednesday to talk to my brother they are always great. He doesn't do much now but eat and food is good and plentiful. They have many activities but he just sits now. As I said rapid decline. It's expensive. Best we can do. Sad stuff.
I would recommend you check into the community. I felt supported and that my loved ones would be safe here. Some of the activities are bingo, puzzles, movies, documentaries, and more for the residents to choose from.
