Thrive at Augusta in Martinez, GA
4.5

We were very pleased with the community. They took very good care of my relative that was there. Everything was first class. The attention, room, and space were all good. Due to the pandemic the only problem I had was the visitation schedule.

Sodalis Martinez
4.5

What our family likes the most about Sodalis Martinez is the staff. The staff is very attentive to needs and keep me informed. I like the family night that they have monthly. Based on the experience we have had, we would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

Brookdale Augusta
4.0

A very nice community, rooms are clean, dining is nice, and they are served the food. Activities are available. They are very informative and helpful. We picked this community because, they were the most helpful in the transition and everything went smoothly. Just wish now they could keep their help. Seems like they can't find good help and when they get them they leave.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home community provides residence to two or more persons who have no family ties to the administrator. A nursing home community offers its inhabitants around-the-clock care by registered nurses. These nurses offer specialized care for seniors who cannot care for themselves because of mental or physical conditions.

Nursing homes are a convenient and comfortable care alternative for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will often admit persons 55 and greater (a rarity in the world of senior care).Examples of care services and amenities provided at nursing homes might include skilled nursing or medical care, monitoring serious illness and unstable health status, bill pay, and adult day services . The most common mental condition experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can cloud their decision making abilities, and familiarity with their surroundings, and memory function. A significant number of nursing home residents are individuals who have mental or physical disabilities, have incontinence issues, require assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, or experience difficulty with hearing and sight. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to be free from restraints, get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements, get information on services and fees, and get proper medical care. Nursing homes are required to provide nursing and related services, routine personal hygiene items, emergency dental services, and medically-related social services to residents.
