We toured a few different communities and this one seemed to be the best fit for my mom. She is doing well here. She is starting to meet new residents and make some friends. She is participating in some of the activities. She really likes the food. The community is always clean and well maintained.

Clearwater at Sonoma Hills in Rohnert Park, CA
4.6

I looked at 4 different assisted living facilities and Clearwater at Sonoma Hills was the first that we toured and they set the bar high. When you walk in, you feel like you are at a Marriott hotel. It is only 2 years old so it is more modern and has amenities that other places do not have. For example each room has a live electrical outlet with a red plate meaning if the power ever goes out, that one outlet would still work. They had a room available right away so we just put a deposit down and the move in process was easy. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

Senior activities

As you pass under the iconic art deco towers of the Golden Gate Bridge and into the alluring mountainous landscape north of San Francisco, you’re entering Marin County, where the congestion of the Bay Area dissipates and transitions seamlessly into a collection of serene seaside villages and breathtaking coastal parks. Marin’s largest city and county seat is San Rafael, which sits on the county’s eastern boundary along the inland bay. Here, and in other picturesque Marin towns, you’ll find plenty of upscale restaurants, boutique shops, and unique museums — such as the Bay Model in Sausalito, the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art in Novato, and the Marin Museum of Bicycling in Fairfax — but it’s the county’s natural beauty that newcomers tend to appreciate above all.
