The Place at Shadow Oaks in Aiken, SC
5.0 / 5.0

We were very pleased with The Place at Shadow Oaks... My brother seemed to be comfortable there and was well taken care of. He has very limited funds ...therefore we can’t use them frequently. But it is wonderful though to be offered respite for short term care.

Aiken Grand Apartments in Warrenville, SC
4.5 / 5.0

I highly recommend Village Senior Apartments to any senior individual interested in a quiet environment in which to enhance his or her peace of mind and spiritual development. Security features of the property assure residents that our safety needs are a major priority of management. I have found the furniture decor of the main building particularly attractive and the laundry facilities are excellent. I would most definitely recommend Village Senior to any potential resident. My compliments to The Management of Village Senior Apartments.

Thrive at Augusta in Martinez, GA

We were very pleased with the community. They took very good care of my relative that was there. Everything was first class. The attention, room, and space were all good. Due to the pandemic the only problem I had was the visitation schedule.

Independent Living

Many seniors may be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance, but the burden of home ownership and the maintenance of daily tasks and chores might be a deterrent to living an independent life. Independent Living Communities provide a solid alternative to this situation. Basic tasks such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is provided, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they see fit, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they choose. While policies differ between locations, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with independent care providers as desired. There are an assortment of advantages and expenditures to keep in mind while choosing an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are covered in the plan: housekeeping, meals, laundry, Waiting list deposit, internet access, cable TV, utilities, and field trips. The luxuries that pertain to independent living include fitness center & swimming pool, security guards, healthcare center, beauty salon & barber shop, golf course, private rental hall, laundry service, and restaurant-style dining hall.
