Enjoy independent living month to month rent apartments.. Maintenance has been here within an hour of notifying them of lost electricity, plugged toilet. Drive way, roads cleared from snow the day after the storm.. Side walks cleaned 2 days after storm in response to phone call. Friendly neighbors, lots of activities, mask required per Covid rules. Enjoy walking, bicycling, dog walking frequently. Feel safe here. Skilled care could use more staff for residents. Slow to answer lights, but courteous when arrived.. Covid Isolation sent many members into emotional & mental decline. For this reason removed mom from there & care for her in my ground floor apartment.

I like this community and they keep it well taken care of. The staff are nice and informative. They are doing their best to take care of her. The food looks good and mom seems to like it. This community does not accept Medicaid. I would recommend this community.

Across the board, The Kensington Hastings was a great place for my Dad's respite stay. He received excellent care. They had a lot of activities and really good food. And the staff were awesome.

Independent Living

If you would like the convenience of having many of your frequent tasks taken care of by professionalls while living the way you desire, you might want to consider independent living. Basic tasks such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is provided, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they see fit, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Typically comprised of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between communities, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always enlist the services of independent care providers. There are an assortment of expenditures and advantages to balance while determining an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are covered in the plan: wellness program, field trips, move-in fee, utilities, internet access, transportation, laundry, and meals. The benefits associated with independent living include laundry service, game/TV room, transportation, private rental hall, restaurant-style dining hall, community activities, concierge services, and beauty salon & barber shop.
