We picked this place because it was all mom could afford. She has dementia, but this place is considered an independent living facility not assisted so she does not get memory care. I pay a nurse monthly to give her her meds. The other reason was because it would supposedly meet the VA criteria for care and assistance benefits. My mom likes it there. She feels safe there. She has her own apartment and can pretty much walk the building on her own with her walker.I would say if they can't afford to put their parents somewhere else where they would get assistance this is the only other option here in Helena. But currently they are having severe issues. A lot of people are moving out and the staff turnover is atrocious.
I love living here because of the staff and residents. I've made some wonderful friends. I really enjoy playing bingo and attending the exercise classes. I think the food and menu could be a little better.
Would absolutely recommend to others. Administrators are good to work with and staff is very good with patients.Very good facility, very good, warm, responsive staff.
