[Name removed] was well cared for. She was in memory care. She liked the food but would have enjoyed more outdoor space. The pandemic limited some activities at first, then resumed. The place was very clean and spacious. Staff was attentive and caring.

We are not able to rate the activities, the meals and dining service as well as the overall value for cost because we are not the residents living there. However, we found the place bright cheerful and well organized. Everyone was friendly.

Independent Living

Many seniors may be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance, but cost of owning a home and the maintenance of the property might deter them from enjoying an otherwise independent life. Independent Living Communities provide a great solution. Seniors can live their lives as they see fit while their meals are prepared by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are taken care of by staff, and social activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of private living spaces, each with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to entertain guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between communities, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services can always be arranged for with private care providers if desired. There are an assortment of advantages and expenses to consider when selecting an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these amenities are included in your plan: parking, private phone, move-in fee, field trips, utilities, Waiting list deposit, wellness program, and internet access. The amenities associated with independent living include transportation, fitness center & swimming pool, concierge services, restaurant-style dining hall, community activities, healthcare center, game/TV room, and beauty salon & barber shop.
