Grandma Joan's Live-In Care Consulting and Recruiting in Oakland, NJ
5.0

Grandma Joan's provided me with a very easy to use platform to find and employ a live-in caregiver for my 104-year-old dad. All the administrative details which would have been very hard for me to find out and deal with were included in the step-by-step guidance provided. On one hand the service is pricey but on the other, not easy to find a comprehensive package that would have resulted in such a trustworthy arrangement, which was the overarching criterion. California has stricter rules about payment to caregivers than other states so cost is simply higher but given that as an unavoidable feature, this was still a more viable set up than I could otherwise find. All in all, I am very glad that I was referred to David and his service which has so far had a good outcome.

Premier Custom Care, LLC - Prairie Village
5.0

It is excellent. My spouse is living in this neighborhood home and is the only male with 5 other women. He is so happy and the staff are amazing. There is no set schedule for the residents. If they want to sleep in, breakfast is made fresh when they get up. Activities occur throughout the day. They are gently re-directed appropriately, never told NO. The staff utilize activities that the residents enjoy or build on their strengths. The director's husband takes my spouse for walks with their dog and takes him to the hardware store and has him help do projects. It is absolutely wonderful. The staff are certified in dementia care and have routine education. The caregivers love their jobs and the residents love and trust them. My spouse did not tolerate being in a larger memory facility. He was too high functioning and cried all the time wanting to come home. It is expensive but totally worth it.
