I haven't seen any problems of any kind. It's been great. My aunt is home and they come in to do different things with her at home. She's doing great. We're very pleased!
Grandma Joan's provided me with a very easy to use platform to find and employ a live-in caregiver for my 104-year-old dad. All the administrative details which would have been very hard for me to find out and deal with were included in the step-by-step guidance provided. On one hand the service is pricey but on the other, not easy to find a comprehensive package that would have resulted in such a trustworthy arrangement, which was the overarching criterion. California has stricter rules about payment to caregivers than other states so cost is simply higher but given that as an unavoidable feature, this was still a more viable set up than I could otherwise find. All in all, I am very glad that I was referred to David and his service which has so far had a good outcome.
The care provided by the team was excellent in every way. The only problem we had was the week that we needed respite care. That WEEK was billed at $[removed]. (Non-Medical personnel) There was no disclosure that it would be that much. I would not have gone. My mental and physical health were and are poor, leading to poor decision making. I assumed the Long Term Care would pay more for respite care. The nursing my mother went to was $[removed]for each MONTH. I had to give up taking care of Mom to a nursing home and she passed away 6 months later. She was on Medicare/Medicaid, who conducted asset searches. Anything she had was liquidated. Life Insurance and pensions. I am 67 and have a disability which Premier Custom Care is aware of. All I have is the mobile home and the lot it sits on. Each had a Transfer On Death filed. There are no assets. My warning to others. Get DETAILS first!
