My loved one is a resident at The Monarch at Coconut Creek. The move in process was smooth. Communication is easy. I would recommend this facility to others.

The facility is very professional. The employees are professional and care for the personnel in a professional fashion, but never go the extra mile to be comforting and and friendly patients are always clean and left to sleep a lot. Hospice care has been uneven, some good some bad. Clients are not complaining about the food. I just think they could perhaps serve more chicken. More protein is always beneficial.

My Mom was a resident for just about three years, having moved in about 6 months after they opened when they were known as Your Life of Coconut Creek. The aides were mostly wonderful. They all knew Mom's name and were typically helpful but seemed overworked. I often questioned the staff-to-resident ratio but was always told that the facility met the minimum state requirements. While at Monarch, my Mom experienced two unaccompanied falls, the last one, in [date removed], was life-ending. Safety protocols appear lax and there is no way for a resident to call for assistance during the night when both falls occurred. We were told that our Mom could have yelled for help. I found this to be a totally unacceptable, unprofessional, and uncaring response. There was no way of knowing exactly how long my Mom was on the cold bathroom floor, by herself, scared and in pain, until the next bed check. The security bracelets issued to residents are totally ineffective unless a resident is near the door.

What sticks out most about The Monarch at Coconut Creek is their personal care and attention to detail. My wife is very active and requires a lot of attention. Also she has food allergies and the executive chef is fantastic at coordinating with her requirements.

I am very happy with all the care given to my husband over the last year. He seems happy and looks good. The facility is like a country club and the activities are great. Thank you for your effort.

If you’re searching for somewhere safe, clean and very caring for your parent - I can guarantee from personal experience that this is the place for you! My mother has been well taken care of and all the nurses/staff are pleasant and I can tell they care for my mom like she’s theirs. Anytime I need anything the executive director is quick to respond and assist me, I believe her name is [name removed] if I’m not mistaken. Great people, great environment! I highly recommend.

I toured The Monarch at Coconut Creek and I was impressed. It was a close run between The Monarch and the community we chose. The difference was the cost - which was significantly higher here, but with the same level of service that she would get at the other community. That is why we did not choose The Monarch.
I visited the Monarch and found the community to not only be beautiful, but the staff very warm and welcoming. [name removed] the Executive Director answered all my questions and I feel very comfortable that The Monarch would be able to care for my loved one. I was also able to have lunch with [name removed] the ED and it was delicious.

We chose The Monarch because they focus solely on memory care and that is what mom needed. When I walked in it was so clean and I also knew the gal who was showing us around so that made us feel more comfortbale. I think they are going through a change right now so there are a couple little issues, but I think it will resolve once things get straightened out. It is mostly all inclusive but there are some add ons that can get expensive. I am very happy with The Monarch. It is great for anyone looking for memory care for their loved ones.

Recently, my family and I , decided that Memory Care was needed to maintain a safe environment and additional help for our father. We chose The Monarch because it offered a purpose built facility, a welcoming administration, and staff, and excellent activities. The transition was seamless and we couldn’t be happier with all that The Monarch does to help new residents and families feel safe and welcomed.

Walked in and was blown away by this facility and the attention to details for Alzheimer’s patients. My mother is living at another facility and we are not happy. I feel this will be a great next place to call home. We walked in so we could see the real deal going on. The woman we met was great and the entire staff we encountered.

I was looking for place for a loved one and this facility was highly recommended. I took their advice and was very pleased with what I discovered. The staff was warm and welcoming. The facility and the patients rooms were clean and well kept. There was adequate staffing for the clients. The clients seemed to be good spirits. The food appeared to be appetizing and well balance. From my observation there seem to be enough activities to keep the clients entertained. The cost is comparable to or better than some of the other facilities that I have visited. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants to rest easy knowing that your loved one is well cared for.

We were looking at a community that was only memory care and when we were moving our loved one in they started to completely change hands and change all the management. The management has been really good at communicating all the changes and they did keep all the staff. We do wish we would of known this sooner but in reality we would of still chosen this community. Everything has continued to trend in a positive way. We do love this place, it is smaller which give it that much more personable touch to it. The staff are great and our loved one always looks well cared for.

A Place for Mom has scored YourLife of Coconut Creek 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
