Everyone is friendly and my mom's move in was smooth. I have noticed that several staff members have quit since January, but the new members are very helpful and approachable. The facility provides housekeeping services weekly and has done an excellent job. My mom has enjoyed most meals. There was an issue with cooking meals at the assisted living facility and bringing to independent living, but that issue has been resolved. I would currently recommend the facility to others. My mom is happy and enjoying the scheduled activities.... Read more

I would definitely recommend this Independent Liiving facility to others. The staff is very pleasant and easy to work with. The housekeeping is only light housekeeping, but [name removed] does great for what she does. The meals are not always great, but I am not a picky eater. They always have a really good salad bar, which is helpful. I think it's a great place for what I pay to live there. One of the nicest features is an in-house laundry room, which is pretty rare in Abilene, Texas. I have my own washer and dryer. I also love my garage and garage door opener. I have a lot of storage. I love my cottage!

My loved one is currently a resident at Wisteria Place Independent Living and overall her experience at this facility has been great so far. The staff is nice. The other residents who live here at this facility are friendly. The housekeeping is minimal, but okay. The meals are good and hot. There is always an alternative option if you don't like what is being served. I would recommend Wisteria Place Independent Living to others.

Mom's neighbors have been very friendly to her. Mom likes the location of her independent cottage, especially since it is located, where she feels she has more privacy. And it is only about a few minutes from my house.

Wisteria Place was the first place we stopped and my parents fell in love with it. They have a lot of activities and they have them out doing things again. The food started out really good but they have had some turnover in staff and it has not been coming out as good or warm lately. I would recommend to others looking.

It is a good value. The staff and residents seem friendly. The staff was very helpful and caring towards the family and my loved one. During the pandemic they offered movies, bingo, and more for activities for the residents.

We chose Wisteria place because we thought it would be the best fit. The apartment sizes here are good, it is adequate for what she needs. The nighttime help is not very nice and orders residents around and the food could use improvement as well. I think they improve the variety on the meals and they are having a hard time keeping a chef. Overall we are pleased with our experience and we hope the food and night help will improve.

I would tell my friends that it is worth what we pay. The food is enjoyable by my loved one. The community is very friendly to my loved one. The room is nice, and the rooms are almost all the same floor plan.

A Place for Mom has scored Wisteria Place Independent Living 8.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
