I moved my loved one out of Windsong at Southridge. The food initially was amazing but then the cook left. It was horrible after that. They didn't provide a diabetic diet for my type 1 diabetic father. The housekeeping was a constant issue and multiple times we had to change his bedding. The staff was very pleasant and did the best they could short handed.

As a retired RN, I strongly suggest a well run adult family home instead. My husband's first year went reasonably well until management changed. Caregiver turnovers were abrupt and new ones were being trained by untrained staff. There was no nurse oversight. He was filthy and unshaven when I or family visited. He was not toileted properly as the staff were few for the level of patients. He began to isolate in his room and when I spoke to managers I was basically ignored. He fell 5 times in 10 days and had to be hospitlized. He contacted Covid because staff were untrained in handwashing and proper mask wearing. He went from walking, talking and feeding himself to needing two people to ambulate and eat. I moved him to a safer adult family home with dedicated, well trained staff, all the right equipment, constant RN supervision with 1 to 5 staff to patient ratio.

Windsong at Southridge gets all 5 stars - My dad is loves the place and the workers. He is thriving there, he is back to using his walker vs wheelchair. He has friends again and enjoying life again. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking.

Windsong Southridge, Toured November 2022: --THE MONTESSORI APPROACH: Nice thorough tour, inside and out. I believe they have been open since May of 2020. I simply love the Montessori-Inspired Lifestyle that this place offers! The "activity stations" are creative and welcoming - and really look fun! --STAFF: Whilst on my tour, the staff representative I was with appeared to know everyone by name that we came in contact with, however, she did not seems to interact much with them. Some staff members were very engaged and connected with the residents; some seemed a little impatient, but you never know what kind of a day someone is having! --RESIDENCE: Clean, bright, and furnishings in the common rooms were in great condition. Residents' rooms seemed a tad drab but I was shown a room that was not occupied and undecorated. Please have a couple of occupied rooms to tour. --FINAL DECISION: My loved one is not at this stage, so it was a "not yet." And it's pretty expensive as well...

Our loved ones needs are not being met and it is becoming detrimental. They are not following through with the promises that were given. We understand every place is understaffed but they are bringing in outside workers who are not trained to handle memory care. It is just like a revolving door. They have increased the pricing three times with no communication to our family .

It is a newer facility and they are still getting staff and processes up to speed so there are minor hiccups here and there, but nothing significant. Based on our experience so far, I would recommend Windsong at Southridge.

Things started off great, but as time went on it became plain to see that the people running the place don't care about the residents who live there. The care staff were mostly kind caring people who want to help others, but recently many were driven away by the management. The communication is nonexistent, the pictures they take of or the residents family are fake, and when you make a complaint about manager not doing their job or not caring about the residents, nothing changes. It is easy work and and there is plenty of downtime

I love all of the activities that they do at this community and how they keep everyone engaged in the activities. They also come up with fun activities for the residents to do and not just everyone watching t.v. They have activities like arts and crafts, cooking and baking classes, gardening, fundraiser activities and a lot of community events that they let the residents participate in also.

This is a new community, didn't seem staff were active with the residents.
We were able to tour this facility in person and we absolutely loved it. Our loved one would be there now if it was not so expensive. Communication was great, there were not grey areas. They were upfront and honest, and all the rooms were all the same size. They have different levels of care, and they truly think of the residents like family, they have them involved all the time.
It is a good place right now. They only have 10 residents. They are still working out the kinks for the new community.
