The team was very helpful transitioning my Aunt from one facility to another although we weren’t able to be on site ourselves. They even found furniture for us to make my Aunt feel more at home. One staff member brought in her own tv for my aunt. There are three meals a day. My Aunt is in memory care unit and I am not present to see meal time. Staff reports that my aunt sometimes likes to eat in her room, I hear that they provide alternative meals on request.... Read more

It's probably on par with a lot of other places in the area. My best advice is to not get old in Florida. It's too full of people needing help and not full enough of people or money to help.

Poor/ lack of communication from administration. They do not return phone calls. The CNAs are very nice and do their best to help all of the residents in Memory Care.

We liked the community. This community was more care than my loved one needed at this time.
We've been very happy with this facility. All of our family says it's beautiful and that the staff is always glowing and friendly. The Sales and Marketing Manager that we've been working with has just been wonderful. The Business Office has been good, as well. We've had some issues with the Home Office as far as billing. For two months, they auto drafted more than they were supposed to for rent fees, which sent my loved one into somewhat of a panic. The first time, they refunded it to him. The second time, they credited it to his next month's rent. I think that's been resolved, I hope so! What stood out to us initially at this facility, was our tour/tour guide. She was very bubbly and truly seemed interested in hosting the tour and providing us with information. She was very genuine and was greeted by several residents during the tour who seemed to really enjoy her. They also accept VA Aid and Attendance here, which is very helpful for us! That has kicked in, but before it did they were great about working with us and our budget. My loved one has been very happy with the food. They also offer a good variety of activities and he enjoys them. Communication with the family has been good. Overall, I think we made a really good choice. It's been a great experience so far. I would, without a doubt, recommend them to family and friends.

I am totally happy with Wickshire. The food is served well, and looks appetizing. They are always friendly, helpful, and always do what they say they are going to do. They have entertainment, and music. In memory care, they have bingo, and games to stimulate the mind. We picked this community because, everything fell into place, and they went above the call of duty. Overall, I am totally happy. I feel comfortable with the care, that my loved one is getting.

This community was nice but it was bigger than what we wanted for my loved one.
Our tour experience with Wickshire Port Orange was nice and the staff were all great, there was just nothing that really stuck out to us, we were wanting something out of the ordinary.
We had a positive tour experience with Wickshire Port Orange. They gave a great tour and we liked what they had to offer. There was nothing negative about them at all, we just did not get the "feeling" that this was the right place for mom.
Nice place but couldn't acquire all the needs we wanted. The woman who did the tour was very pleasant and accommodating. It just wasn't the right fit for us.
Waited in the lobby for over an hour for my scheduled tour.
Small apartments for more money.
I thought Wickshire Port Orange was very nice. They gave a good tour. I just felt a little more comfortable overall with another place.
I would encourage you to look at this community for your loved one. I've already recommended some friends to look at the community. The price point is good for all you receive. My loved one would like to see more community outings; however, this may not be happening due to the pandemic.

The front desk workers were always very nice as well as a couple of the nurses we dealt with, however the business manager was rude at times, almost insulting and if you had a question she would decide when she would want to answer. So anything but helpful, but the salesman who took us on the virtual tour was very nice and very helpful. We did see the food a couple of times and there was a very high carbohydrate content.
