My husband was there with Alzheimers - make no mistake, the actual care givers are darlings and were the kindest people I ever met and took great medical care of him. Over 3 1/2 years I saw the "for profit" aspect of the center reduce staff enormously until the caregivers were worked to death. Also it has the MOST inefficient office staff of any organization (and I was an admin so I know how things should be running). Also very rude business office manager as of this date. Over these years they cut nice activities like holiday meals for the residents - the food went downhill badly - and the activities ladies who were trying so hard had a drastically cut budget. The caregivers however gave my husband great attention and went out of their way to make him less anxious about being there and I will always remember them for that. How I wish they were better treated.

I had surgery and spent 8 nights in the ER of Danbury Hospital - moved directly to the Rehab Center for 8 additonal nights. The Physical Therapy sessions were Outstanding! There were 2 sessions daily, typically 1.5 hours morning and 1.5 hours afternoon. The skill level of the therapists is high. Very congenial atmosphere --music playing -patients and professionals included--5+Rating for this department On your first night, you are assigned a room-mate- If you are unlucky you will not be compatible-- 3.5 rating for the rooms and meal service Food quality varied; menu mistakes were common. Sometimes food was cold. If you were friendly with the aide's& Nurses--they sometimes could heat it up for you The person in charge of discharging you from the facility was rude-my discharge was delayed a day or two
