Management for Hometown Senior Living is unresponsive and do not hold staff accountable to complete care plans, they rarely visit the facilities they manage. Medication administration is not closely monitored. Nursing has minimal involvement with client care and overall operations - leading to medication errors that they do not inform residents, family, or physicans about. Changes in my loved one's condition are not reported to family or physicians. Physican's orders are neglected for years on end despite multiple discussions with management resulting in harm to my loved one. The house where my family member lives is often filthy. Beacon's Hometown Senior Living is understaffed and they simply do not provide the services they charge for. This company is corrupt. Avoid at all costs!

Staff is constantly changing. People get fired all the time. I have seen staff arguing with each other. I witnessed staff screaming at people they are supposed to care for. Meals are substandard. I rarely see activities being done. And the house cleaning leaves a bit to be desired, smells like urine in some of the rooms.

Should be a zero. I am a family member and I feel so bad for the floor manager and staff nurses are disrespectful care more about social time with each other then with the residents. LPN yelled at a staff member right in front of me and other residents. Floor manager and staff take very good care of residents. If my love one wasnt comfortable we would pull them out. Family and friend circled business and it shows. Please make sure you check other options before placement.

Treats employees badly. Other family members of the resident's talk often of how dissatisfied they are with the company. With all the negative talk and image its amazing this company still stands to do business. Treat everyone with respect and dignity and maybe the reviews would be more positive. Personally do not recommend this "company".

A Place for Mom has scored Wedgewood South 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
