It was really nice and easy to go and visit our loved one at Vitality, it was fun to go and hang out. The staff members had a lot of patience with the residents, they were attentive, professional and pleasant. They had both male and female residents there with a wide range of ages. The food was good, the dining staff was very friendly. Our loved one had a nice little apartment, it was casual, comfy, and she was able to bring her own furniture. They have a library room, piano lounge area, hair salon, book clubs, Spanish and French clubs, so a lot of things for the residents to do.

Response from Vitality Living Arlington
July 15, 2022Hi, Isabella - we have such wonderful team members and we appreciate you sharing your experience and we strive to create such experiences for everyone! Thank you for your feedback!
I toured Vitality Living Arlington and it was a fine experience. They had a lot of great services and activities that my loved one would not have been able to take advantage of. They have 15 people in a group, whereas the community we chose never has more than 8. We chose another community because Vitality's proximity to family & friends, and the community itself wasn't a good fit.

June 27, 2022Hi, thank you for your feedback! We greatly appreciate you taking time to leave us a 5-star review.
We had a nice tour at Vitality Living Arlington. It didn’t have as much outdoor space as the place we chose. However, that would have been my second choice. They were very friendly, and it seemed like the care would be good. Ultimately, they didn’t specialize in memory care, and we were just blown away by a place that did.

May 23, 2022Thank you for your feedback, we greatly appreciate it.
They have very caring staff here. I believe they could be a little more heavy on staffing; however, this is probably wide spread in this industry. I think there is some turn over of staff as well. The staff are very receptive to the residents needs and work well with the family. The community brought in a new head of dining and are upping their game on food. Prior to this new head of dining food was a lower rating, than current. Call button response time could be improved as well.

It's a very friendly atmosphere if your loved needs a lot of extra support, I suggest hiring a private duty aide to assist. If the loved one is independent, it is a great place to be. If they have definite needs, an aide helps.

March 16, 2022Hi, Pam - a search for the right place is a search for the right people. And we agree, we have some wonderful people provide the services needed by so many. Thank you for your feedback!
They could improve on the activities, they have very few of them and do not really engage with the residents. Value is subpar for what we are paying and the care our loved one is receiving, we do know the staff members are understaffed. Even though the executive director is very nice, she could communicate a little more frequently.

We chose Vitality Living Arlington because of the services offered for the money and it just seemed like it was the best place for her. The staff here seem very nice and management seems to be friendly as well. We have had no complaints and I would definitely recommend to others looking.

October 5, 2021Hi John, we know that making a move to a senior community can be a difficult process and it makes us all so happy to hear of great experiences like this. Thank you for your feedback!
The staff members very helpful, knowledgeable, and they really know what they are doing. Everybody cares greatly about the residents and their well-being. The food is well cooked and nicely presented food, sometimes in the dining room it is a little noisier than she would like. They do have activities but not as many as they might have due to covid. The location of the facility is super convenient because it is practically on the metro line. I would recommend and already have.

August 18, 2021Hi, Diane- we have such wonderful team members and we appreciate you sharing your experience and we strive to create such experiences for everyone! Thank you for your feedback!
They're very friendly and very accommodating. They put my loved one at ease during the interview and the tour. My loved one actually passed away before she could move in. We had already started the move-in process and were getting her room ready. Vitality was great with the unexpected change of events. They stored my loved one's furniture there for a month until I could get it out and into my own storage space. They were just very accommodating and understanding. The service was great, and they were just very kind, especially considering the pandemic. They were so great that I would have moved in myself if I were an older adult needing assistance!

It has good care, the therapy is excellent, the staff are friendly. The food variety is something I would change. They have an outdoor area you can go to.

Looks nice, kitchens are small. Not sure that is what my mom wants. Tour was very good, but I can see it being a bit difficult for my mom with her dog.

April 14, 2021Hi, Thank you for your feedback! Please considering calling us at [removed] to have your concerns addressed.
We chose Brookdale Arlington because the location was good for our family and they seemed very attentive in their presentation to us and the price was reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised with his room size, it was very nice. He was only here about 4 months, he went in walking and once he came out he no longer could walk.

April 14, 2021Hi, thank you for your feedback!
The staff has been good, there have been some that got a little snippy. We let the community know, and this was taken care of. There are some aides that are dears. There are times that my loved one has needed extra care about open wounds, and the community tries to change the bandages, but the few times I have seen them change the bandages it was so tight, that I had to loosen the bandages for my loved one. The activities have been good, as far as working with the residents during COVID. They would bring puzzles and small activities for the residents to do in their room. The residents are starting to be able to socialize again out in the common areas. I feel this community has done an excellent job with COVID and keep and control of it.

We are very content with this community and how they have handled our loved one and how they communicate with us. The take very good care of our loved one. The care givers seemed so kind when we were first looking at this community. It has a very homey and comfortable feeling to it. The food is not very good, and the food itself is not very attractive looking. We live across the country and the staff has been incredibly excellent and always letting us know whats going on with our loved one. throughout COVID they have done an excellent job about care giving, and communication.

The building feels a little like a hotel, the room themselves are very nice and adequate. The food at this community is inconsistent. One thing that stood out to us most was the the location.

The rooms provided at Brookdale are pretty good in size, the food was just okay. The staff that served the food in the dining room weren't very friendly, they didn't seem very interested in the job or the people. The building has a very nice appearance to it. The overall staff members are very warm and friendly.

Like everything else in life, there's a learning curve, but once you figure out how things work, you can get good responses to problems. The aides do a good job, and it's very hard work. The nursing staff is very responsive to family members. They treat me like part of their team. Physical therapy and occupational therapy, provided there by Genesis, are excellent. The in house audiologist is excellent. Overall, Brookdale was the right choice for our family. It's not cheap, but still far less expensive than in-home care would be. On site medical help is so important, and they do a far better job than I could.

Brookdale Arlington was used for 30 days so that my cousin could get more physical therapy and continue to recover from a bad prescribed drug reaction. He said that the food was great and enjoyed the Bible study. He is loner so did not participate in other activities although there were plenty of other activities available. He was walking on his own and able to return to his apartment when he left.

It was rough adjustment process for my wife, and her move to this community. She was having some trouble at first, but she is doing pretty good now. I do feel she is safe, but I do feel the staff could be a little more attentive towards the residents. Other than that issue, the staff is pretty good. They do a good job with the cleanliness. There are good activities offered for the residents, and nice meals provided. The location is convenient for me to travel too, and they have good parking. This community is the right fit for my wife, and her needs.

This community was nice it has been renovated within the last few years. The community is well maintained and is clean. The staff was very nice on the tour very informative. They seem to offer quite a few things to keep residents that are able to do things busy. The location just didn't fit our need as well as other ones.
