All of the directors here have a great track record, they have worked together for 17 years and it shows. The facility is very secure and has rod iron fencing around it. The staff at Vista Cove at Rancho Mirage are doing a fantastic job with my wife. She has adjusted very well. I looked at their reviews and in the last 8 years they had only had a few complaints that were taken care of. It has been a wonderful experience.
My mother moved here from another community that could not handle her level of dementia and behavioral issues. They are very patient with her and have a better understanding of how to approach her at certain times. Her behavior has improved since moving here. They offer a non-denominational church service. They offer singing and she likes to play piano and they offer that to her.

We were so very impressed by this facility. Mark & David spent a lot of time with us talking about our difficult situation and for that we were really appreciative. We also liked the open campus setting and location was beautiful. It had a very "homey" feel both in the assisted living and memory care units.

My Mom is a wanderer and we moved her here after she "escaped" from another locked memory community because they could not handle her. We were so worried that she could not find a place where her behavior could be managed with patience that was also within our budget. We were so happy to find Vista Cove where that seems to be the place. Vista Cove is great to work with - they know how to handle this situation and the grounds are secure so she can get outside and walk around and not get frustrated. They made the transition so easy and on short notice and for that we are most appreciative. We feel very comfortable with the care and sensitivity they have shown to our family and to Mom. Jack and Diane really have an extensive understanding of dementia and the resultant behavior problems and compassionate solutions. Because of them this is the most hopeful we have felt in a very long time about finding a place where Mom can be finally be "at home."

We went there because the senior center wrote about it as a place to go for someone with mild to moderate dementia, for a day program, but they are advanced and they sit and stare and don't talk. They have movies, and tv, and they have flashcards. they people aren't capable of participating. We would never have gone there if they had said that is what they are for. When we looked in the room where they have things it didn't look right to me but I was assured that they had people at his level but they did not. It's in a very nice setting and unfortunately most of the people there don't have a clue. I really liked the director. It's probably adequate or more than adequate for people beyond moderate and need a lot of care. Everything is locked so the security is very good. They had a lot of family activities, for them to participate in.
