The location of the Villa is the best place to be. We are in the heart of Santa Barbara downtown. The food is fantastic, the activities are engaging and fun. Incredibly all the staff, mangers and directors are kind compassionate and professional.

Expectational care here. Responsive to every need. My wife whose handicapped/ in a wheelchair and I are here for in 6 months how and have found staff responsive at every loved.

Room size more than adequate. Enjoyed separate bedroom. Enjoyed the experience of living in facility that was "in town". Residence has been updated and was loving. The staff was very helpful and friendly numerous activities.

After living in 2 other communities that did not "work" for me, finally I am home. These are my people. The staff is always available 24/7 when I have needed them. The location is great. The activities numerous. I feel safe and care for.

I have lived in 6 Assited Care Facilities over past 13 years and they were all good, but The Villa is excellent in so many ways. We have a great chef, fantastic administrative staff, the best activities director, wonderful support crew and all at an amazing price.

Been here a year. Staff up beat and accommodating. Turn or rain staff but very accommodating and enjoyed. Want to be sure we maintain staffing limitation for medication especially on weekends. (Some months ago). [name removed] med tech is excellent. Other recent ones great. More diabetic options in reverses side of [name removed] hearty friendly, diabetic etc. Residents leave trays makes cleaning 4 or 5. Love the new showers and toilet.

It's not just for Mom, but for a Grand Uncle or older brother. A welcoming community is found here. The residents are encouraged to be active and to interact with others. The Executive staff always have time to facilitate and help make this a meaningful place to be.

The manager at Villa Santa Barbara wasn't helpful with reducing the cost of rent when we had to move her out early due to her not feeling safe there.

The staff are very nice and friendly, however it seems they are understaffed. It takes over 20 mins for someone to respond when my mom uses the Emergency button in her apartment. She has waiting up to an hour for a response. Important information takes a day or sometimes doesn't ever get shared to residents (Covid/health outbreaks, dining room closures, new staff hires, etc) The food is a big concern, the meals do not seem very health conscious, for seniors; there are lot of gravy, sauces and fried food. The dishes with meat, chicken, fish tend to be overcooked and bland, same with vegetables they are either raw or overcooked and mushy. When meals are delivered to her apartment (when the dining room is closed or there is a Covid outbreak) it takes an unusually long time and is always cold. Her clothes have gone missing after sending down to be laundered. Half the time she gets back other residents clothes with her name & apt. # on the bag.
