My year of recovery

lived here for one year (2020) after an accident. What made VP so special for me was that it is essentially a ‘home’, run by its owners - their home - specified and built for the purpose of having severely injured or challenged individuals cared for. During my stay, there were 9/10 residents receiving the care they needed. With one exception, there was harmony amongst residents and it was an overall pleasant experience. I don’t believe I qualified for an extended stay, but my lucid observations at the time and those subsequent to my time there, had me feeling nurtured and well cared for. The meals - always fresh and good - were on time, the place was clean and accessible, the staff efficient and hardworking. I was lucky to have recovered enough to have my own place. Those who remain, most of whom are far worse off than me, don’t complain - have no reason to I would recommend VP for anyone whose needs include good long term dependable care and the fine Euro style compassion it provides!...
