Victoria Place

My loved one was a resident at Victoria Place. Victoria Place is a good place. I will probably move there myself when the time comes.

I was told before they are not a memory care facility but had many patients with dementia and that staff is experienced with dementia care, but I believe I made a mistake and should have chosen a memory care facility.

Recently our extended family utilized Port Townsend's Victoria Place on short notice from an Everett hospital for a respite stay for our loved one. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating when we arrived after normal hours. My Mother-in-Law was ushered into an extremely clean, comfortable and spacious suite that would ultimately accommodate comfortably a caregiving family of 5. Besides the well appointed suite, our family was given the daily options of have our meals delivered in room with the resident. This saved us tremendous amounts of time away. Every Wednesday afternoon, the hallways were serenaded by soothing notes from the piano guest artist. Otherwise, the Victoria Place was quiet and restful. I personally was so moved by our visit, I purchased and installed Solar powered driveway and walkway lighting in honor of my Mother-in-Law. Parking was ample, Staff and Residents were helpful, yet respectful. A lovely floor plan enables guests to walk around easily and without confusion.

Our loved one was only there for 5 days and he had passed away. However the staff was so kind and very helpful. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we had with Victoria Place.

Victoria Place has had some turnovers within the upper management. The rooms are not very spacious but they are kept pretty clean. Our loved one overall is pretty comfortable there. Before COVID we were able to eat some meals, and we think they needed some improvement. Our loved one currently has not complained about the food, so we think they could of made those improvements.

Recently toured Victoria Place. I found it to be quite elegant. The dining room is beautiful. I was there at lunch and was impressed with the quality and quantity of food. Loved that it is shaped as a rectangle with hand bars on one wall. 11 times around is a mile. In the middle is a beautiful court yard with 4 entrances. Being totally enclosed offers privacy and safety. The rooms are very nice. I saw a studio and 1 bedroom. Loved the safety designed bathroom. The staff are all very warm and caring. They bend over backwards to try and accommodate each resident. That was every person l met. Happy to recommend Victoria Place.

From the minute I stepped through the doors, the staff were friendly and inviting. [Name removed], the Community Relations Director, went out of his way to make me feel at home. He gave me a tour, introduced me to everyone and took plenty of time to answer my questions. I am happy and honored that my Mom is a resident where she is very well cared for and treated as part of the family at Victoria Place.

Warm and inviting smaller community with amazing staff. The residents are well cared for by friendly and well-trained staff. Victoria Place staffs a BSN prepared RN who is also on call 24/7 for medical emergencies. This is a feature lacking in so many other assisted living communities. Mom loves living at Victoria Place!

This is the cleanest and nicest senior living facility in Port Townsend. The staff truly care about the residents. Resident enjoy a wide variety of activities. As a member of the health care community, I am impressed by their medical team!

I was not very pleased with the staff at this community during my tour for my mother. I had noticed that the staff had no professional communication between each other and was just kind of rude which concerned me. I thought the lady who gave us our tour was to much business she had no personality throughout our visit and did not even speak to any of the residents that where in the halls or common areas. I was just not impressed and would not want my mom being in this environment.

This is a fairly nice facility. It is very clean and the staff are friendly, though they are a bit understaffed. My primary concern, however, is the fact that the facility was not able to provide my loved one with the care that she needed for her particular condition. Otherwise, I do not have very many complaints about the facility.

My mother-in-law is doing alright and she likes the smaller community. It is easier for her to get around from place to place. To her the best part is being very close to her daughter. It is still a transitional experience for her but the place is fine and they are providing suitable care for her.

This is a very nice community. We know that he is doing very well here in this home feeling environment. He is very happy with the great meals with a good variety. He is very active being involved in a lot of activities. They have a set price for everything. I like knowing that the community is clean and the room is a nice size for him. We highly recommend this community to other families for the value and comfort and the great staff.

The tour my loved one and I went on in this community was very informative. They made sure to take there time with my loved one and I and answer and questions we had for them in detail. I have no complaints about this community during our visit.
