I am truly grateful to the entire staff at MD Senior Living for taking such excellent care of my dad while showing true kindness, compassion, and respect giving my dad the best possible living environment where he feels safe and cared for and has made friends he cherishes. For my dad’s journey his cognitive ability fluctuates from high functioning to needing 24-hour care and the changes can happen daily and/or hourly. Finding him the right care that would allow him to be as independent as possible while still ensuring he was safe and well taken care for was paramount for his well being and happiness. Everyone at MD Senior Living has made him feel welcome. He loves the delicious, creative, and healthy meals, and I love how a health plan is in place to take care of his needs based on his ever-changing cognitive ability. We both are so thankful to have found dad a home that cares so much about his wants and needs in a positive, hopeful, and uplifting setting.... Read more

[name removed] was only there [dates removed] so I don't know how much this adequately reflects. As with any care facility I would recommend visiting your family member on a daily basis, talk to the manager about their care and ask questions about any changes so the family can discuss and make wise decisions as to whether or not their loved one should see a doctor

Overall was good. It met the need to have care for my husband when my work required us to go back into the field and I couldn't take care of him any longer. 2 cleanliness was excellent. Staff was very friendly. I don't think they liked us stopping in unscheduled. I think they lacked on training. Quality of care (not getting him up to walk or do any movement exercises on a regular basis. He was there 3 weeks and stopped walking all together. Also I popped in to visit him he was lethargic and feverish and we had to call an ambulance. At the ER he was diagnosed with a severe UTI spent the night in the hospital, codex in the morning and they revived him but he died 4 days late. Meals were fine, not many activities, value was better than most I had looked into. I think they need training to know signs of illnesses. They need nurses who are licensed not just caregivers.

We brought my dad to this home from a very stressful situation and let’s just say he was not initially ecstatic about moving. He was initially somewhat depressed and struggling with sleep, among other things, but I could tell within the first fifteen minutes of him being there that he was calming down. After 6 months, he is thriving, eating & sleeping well, socializing and even joking with the staff and other residents!! We cannot thank the team here enough! My dad is so happy and well-taken care of and we are so grateful to all of the staff for their kindness and support throughout the last several months! They always keep us informed and we are so comforted knowing he is in good hands! Our visits are always great and they could not be more accommodating. We have had a great experience and are so grateful to have been connected with this team!

A Place for Mom has scored Valencia at 19th 2 3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
