Tudor Castle Residential Care Home

Choosing a senior home for my mom was amongst one of the most difficult things I had to do. I decided on Tudor Castle Senior Home Care for a couple of reasons. As I approached the home, I liked that they kept a nice lawn and maintained the exterior of the home. The inside is maintained and the décor gives a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Cleanliness is important to me and to the staff as they keep that place clean! Equally as important, is the care they provide to my mom. They make sure she’s clean, fed and her overall needs are taken care of every day. I appreciate the hard work and effort the owner and staff put into caring for my mom at Tudor Castle!

The staff is quite sensitive and caring about the residence. The residences are given complete attention and priority. We are pleased to share our experiences regarding the Tudor Castle staff. The staffs are available to the family members at any time day or night. The staff motivates the residence on a daily basis according to their capacity to respond. Tudor Castle is certainly a place of reliability. We are quite pleased with our experience with Tudor Castle.

Our experience with the Tudor Castle, Decatur, Residential Facility has been exceptional. When it became necessary for our family to need the services of a long term health care facility, it was a very stressful decision. This was our first experience in the aged, assisted living arena and we needed all the help we could find. Fortunately, [name removed], who is a consummate professional in the field of long term health care made our introduction to the caregiving world more comfortable. Her knowledge and understanding of the process offered us the empathy and caring support that we needed at a very difficult time. We had researched online for information to assist us with the selection of a long term, assisted living facility. One of the main things we found in our research was safety and hygiene. The Tudor Castle Residential Facility exceeded all our expectations. The Tudor Castle is clean, organized and the physical layout of the floor plan has made it very easy for our loved one to maneuver about daily. Our loved one walks around with ease and displays an attitude of belonging and ownership at the residence. The staff is very efficient, attentive, and has always been kind and courteous. Our loved one is always clean, well-groomed, and is always looking forward to mealtime. Our loved one has dietary restrictions and the staff has always prepared tasty, appealing meals. The staff communicates on a regular basis and if there is ever a concern, we receive a telephone call to discuss the issue. Since COVID 19 has entered the scene, Duo calls are made on a regular basis so we can see and communicate with our loved one. Tudor Castle Residence has truly been a source of comfort, confidence, and relief for the care of our loved one. During this most difficult time, they have exhibited great concern for the health and welfare of all the residents. We're truly grateful for the dedication and commitment to our loved one by the staff of the Tudor Castle Residential Facility.

my father lived there for several years, he was [Removed]2-3 times that he would not be able to stay in a private room for the amount he pays, he was able to access a bath tub, for bathing only at times, the care home had a hostile [Removed] atmosphere at the end he was told he was leaving and his room was being offered at 2400.00 dollars, he was having problems with showering because of cold water, [removed], I went to the home and after allowing for water to reach top temp it was 67degrees Fahrenheit, he was told he would be able to go to owners sister in laws home, which never occurred, the staff (owners sister) told my father" you would never get hot water there" my father stated staff wouldn't give him his medicine. with all this going on I started taking my father once a week to my home to bathe until he burned himself in our shower leading to hospitalization and never going back to tudor castle. I called ga government regulations and when they went out they read the water temp at 108 degrees Fahrenheit which is understandable because they would turn water to shower and interior temp up and down regularly they also put his fiber supplement in his drawer as if they hadn't withheld it from him

The move in for my husband is going well. Everyone is pleased with the facility and the care that is given. The staff are communicating very well. They keep in touch all the time. We are very new to this and it is nice that we dis not have any problems. All is well.

I thought they did a great job with my loved one during her time here. The staff were friendly and professional, and did a great job keeping the facility itself looking nice. I really like that they pushed the residents to remain engaged, they wouldn't let them sit around in their rooms all day. And the food was excellent!

The people here looked like they liked living there. It was all on one level. The shower is a roll in, that's great.
