My Mom has been at TCRI since 2014. I am so pleased with the care she receives from all of the staff. During this time she has transitioned over to the Dementia/Alzheimer's wing, and the great care has only carried over. Dementia is a challenging transition and the sweet staff is prepared for whatever kind of day Mom is having. It is so comforting for me and my brothers to know she's in the greatest care.... At 2 am on Saturday [date removed]we find this old lady in a wheelchair in the Allie on the side of the tri-cities retirement inn outside the gate. We pull around to the front to notify the worker. We find her asleep on the couch in the lobby… informed her that her patient is in the Allie. She repeatedly said it’s not my patient. Told her.. umm well I think so and you should look. She didn’t seem concerned. I took it apon myself to show her where the patient was. She followed me through the building (I don’t know where I’m going, never been in this building before) and as soon as she saw the patient she goes “oh”. The elderly lady was thru the building door and chain link gate at 2am. My concern is this elderly lady was confused asked for her husband in a dark Allie. Cars drive so fast through this Allie. She could have been really hurt. For the employee to not be concerned is insane to me. Then I come to write a review and see it’s “a place for mom” oh no.. definitely not.

Tri-Cities Retirement Inn, Toured November 2022: STAFF: Incredible! This residence had the MOST CARING, gentle, polite staff I've seen on ANY tour. First Impression Desk was the BEST and knowledgeable about everything! The tour guide I had stopped to help two residents in the kindest way. It was heartwarming! The Director took unlimited time to speak with me and she was wonderful! She has retained the same staff for YEARS and that definitely says something for her management style. FOOD: Kitchen was incredibly organized to meet the residents' needs! I mean, WOW! ROOMS: Pretty tired-looking, old fixtures, inexpensive finishes. Carpets and closet doors need replacing. RESIDENCE: Not great curb appeal. Smokers in the breezeway; it was snowing outside & they wanted to stay undercover! The inside of the building is tired, but they are updating the common areas. It looked like it was going to be a lot nicer looking when they completed this project! FINAL DECISION: Siblings said "no."

We did not have a good tour experience at Tri-Cities Retirement Inn. It seemed kind of dirty and disorganized. Also I was supposed to meet with a staff member who had scheduled another appointment during our scheduled tour and had to leave, which did not leave a good impression.
My loved one is getting sufficient care They are friendly people residents and staff.

A Place for Mom has scored Tri-Cities Retirement Inn 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
