My loved one is doing a lot better. The therapy helps you and motivates yourself. The staff comes in when she calls them. It's clean and it's a very nice place!

The staff is really welcoming. Whenever we request to see my mom, they're very accommodating. The Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist are so professional! We were really impressed with how they were able to take care of my mom.

My loved one is very happy with the nurses. The staff seems to be friendly and open. The only thing she mentioned about the meals is that they bring her an item that she can't eat every morning.

Overall we are pleased with TLC. They are taking good care of my father. The nurses come in to talk to me and have been really attentive. They are very good at communication, whether I am in the facility or they have also made phone calls. I really appreciated that.

My loved one is very well pleased and the staff checks in on her every day. I had no communication from them. I only heard from her and she calls me every day.

My loved one loves it there, they're amazing! The nurses and aides are great and the care is great. The only thing I have a problem with is their reception. The person in the front is rude when they answer the phone and doesn't direct the calls to the right place. Everyone else is nice and friendly and I haven't had any bad experiences with anyone else. It's clean and they're pretty good about communicating when something goes wrong.

The therapists are friendly and are helping my husband. The nurses, CNAs, and doctors are very nice. They're very attentive to the patient. I didn't have a chance to talk to the nurses or doctors. If we're going to ask a question, they direct us to other people. The one time I spoke with a nurse, she was very thorough. My husband says the nursing staff are all nice and helping him.

My loved one's experience has been good but they need more staff. I have a big problem with their communication. So far they have not reached out at all.

My loved one is pretty happy there. They seem like good staff. She hasn't complained and she's a complainer. They've been really friendly and it looks clean in there. The meals look better than her living facility food. They call me regularly, the social worker and therapist have called.

The staff members are very nice. They go out of their way to make sure my loved one is comfortable. It is pretty clean and better than other places I have seen. They have my number and I would like to have them to call me more often with updates.

My loved one is clean and taken care of. I'm sure that any place like this could use more cleaning, but they try very hard. His meals are fine.

Everybody is very good and helpful there. I looked at the therapy room and it looked very nice. The therapists went to my mom's room and they are moving her back and forth from the bed and to the wheelchair. She would like more therapy at home. She likes the CNA's, nurses and physical therapists. She likes the nursing supervisor and he did a very good job giving her the medication. The communication is excellent. The dietitian updates me about the food for my mom and what she can eat. The cleanliness in the room is okay but the floor is a little bit dirty.

Some of the staff is really, really great. Most nurses come in and they are great. The CNA's, unfortunately, may be overworked. They don't get around to the patient in a timely manner. That's really my only complaint. A lot of times you just see towels and dirty sheets everywhere. What would really help, is if there is some sort of hamper to put dirty items in. They give me information straight and they know what they're are doing.

They've improved. It's taken them a while to learn how to do things for my son, but that really shows that they care and really want to learn it. And they do learn it. Generally, they're doing okay. Their communication to me about my son's needs and issues is top-notch, and as is the nurse's attention to detail. Speaking of detail, their cleaning staff is really good and is always bustling around keeping everything neat, tidy, and clean. The CNA staff sometimes could use some improvements. I think they need to check-in, physically, on the patients more often, hourly. I think they do their best, especially given the patient load. The staff is outstanding as far as the friendliness goes. Everyone there is nice.

My mom likes everybody. The therapists have been really gentle with her this time! The first night was rough, but afterward, the staff was really attentive.

The nurse's aides have done well. When we got there, the staff to patient ratio was too low, they just need more. So far, the CNAs have been more helpful than the nurses and administrators. The patient rooms and the cafeteria, need more attention in general cleanliness. You can tell the dining is another area that seems to be understaffed. Maybe if it was a high school cafeteria where everyone can manage themselves, it would be different.

At this time I am having some concerns, however, I plan on addressing those concerns with them at the meeting we have scheduled this week. They do a good job with the cleanliness of the facility. The meals and dining is an area of one of my concerns that I plan to discuss at the meeting.

I think that the staff is very kind and considerate. They have a really good attitude. The common areas are very nice, they are nicely done. I would recommend it to someone if they lived in my area. I think the therapists do very well but I think it should be twice and a day instead of once a day. It looks like they don't have enough funding. The bed my husband is in, the headboard is torn up and the rooms are just dreary.

I am right now really disappointed in TLC. The staff has personal attitudes as if they are working a job where you are handling merchandise on aisle 7. I cannot speak for all of the staff but only the ones I have seen. They could be a lot more compassionate with the patients as well as the patient's families. My loved one is kept very clean but her pillows need changing and I notice this often. There was one instance when I mentioned it to the nurses and they continued their own conversation. So I stood there waiting. I eventually mentioned to the nurse (that was having the personal conversation) that I could do it myself if she gave me the cases. It was not until then that they changed them. She went to the hospital and I never got a call about when she came back.

A Place for Mom has scored TLC Care Center 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
