I have lived here for several years now, was OK until a year ago. New manager and maintenance person who do as little as possible, no people skills or are they even semi professional. Rent money gets so called "LOST" or misplaced. Maint guy ease drops on tenant conversations an reports it to manager. Maint repairs are sub-standard. Manager has actually WRITTEN up tenants for talking in lobby area,,,,what, are we in grade school?!!! Several apts are now rented to ex-homeless people on Section 8 and they bring in other homeless people, junkies, etc into building . Very unsafe! This building has a very negative vibe over it now, no fun any more. We had a bedbug outbreak and we were not told about, so others ended up with them from laundry room. Personal storage lockers get broken into. Rent keeps going up, several people now have to move, but SHAG will fill them with section 8 and the rest of will pay for it. No respect from management here, just negativity. We miss [name removed], our previous manager, she brought sunshine to this building.

This is a nice apartment building, located at the south end of old downtown Kent. There are a great variety of places within walking distance - library, shopping, coffee shops and diners, and so on. The building is also a stop on the route of Kent's free Shopper Shuttle, providing transportation to local businesses for those who aren't up for the walk. It's close enough to the railroad that train whistles are heard frequently; this may be bothersome to some people and not to others. My mom has been in her Titus Court apartment for less than a month; the other residents have been friendly and helpful, and I look forward to her developing friendships and becoming involved in activities in and around the community.
