Mom's needs were not met

My mother needed extra care which we paid for. However, unless you are in Assisted Living and only need meds, your needs are not met. Mom had her meals in her room, and that were delivered with kindness. Her medications were given to her on time. But, she had special toileting needs that were not met. As her memory declined she was moved to memory care. She went t down hill quickly and couldn't take care of herself. Despite schedule changes, she would still be found on her floor or in filth at the toilet because those changes were not met. We tried desperately to get her to a more skilled nursing facility, but there were no openings. Needless to say, Mom ended up in the hospital after an injury where she spent her last days with bruises on her face and body causing the Sheriff's department to question us. It was a horrible way for her to die.

To quote nurse at facility " We do not have enough staff to take care of people" Mother suffered repeated unexplained bruises, No staff answered her pendant " call button" when needed- family witnessed hostility from aides towards her when she needed cleaned up to incontinence issues. Some great people there but unfortunately the bad staff out weighs the good staff.

Just Like Home With Extended Family for My Family Member

The Village is amazing! They have gone above and beyond to accommodate my loved one prior to their passing. My loved one had to go to the hospital and they had one of the staff member go with my loved one to ensure they were safe. The community worked well with outside home health. The staff always check on my loved one during my loved one's stay. They made sure that my loved one was eating. The maintenance team was quick to respond to requests as well.

Thank you Sandy. When a resident moves into our facility, our honest hopes are that if/when they leave our facility the feeling from the loved ones is similar to how you stated in the review. There are a LOT of moving pieces in an operation like ours, but every single one of them is in place to better the lives of the residents. We take pride in the fact that the efforts are being noticed. Comments from families of a resident who called us their last home are so very special. We can't thank you enough.

Good place for loved one

I have no complaints. It's very clean, and the staff is very friendly. They do a good job with care services. My loved one loves the food. They do well with activities, and offer different programs, which allows my lovedto get out of the room. I am happy about that. It is expensive but the least expensive in town. For the quality of care, it's a reasonable price, and I highly recommend. Overall, I am very pleased with the facility.

Thank you for the kind words Judy. Our team certainly do their best to exceed the expectations of our residents and their families. It is very much appreciated when a family takes the time to write a review. The kind words are the fuel our staff need to keep putting in the effort. As you can probably tell, we haven't utilized Senior Advisor for marketing. Most of our reviews seem to end up on the google reviews page. Thanks for opening up this avenue for us.

They have made exceptions, and have been just have been wonderful. The staff have been very great. My loved one really likes the food, and it smells wonderful. I have tried it before, and it is good. The staff is very sweet, and the administration does their best to get mom out to do activities. They try to get the residents involved in social life. Overall, my loved one is happy.

Becky, Thank you for posting our first review on Senior Advisor. We hadn't used this site a lot in the past, but due to the recent interest we will fill out the page more thoroughly. It's nice to see other outlets used. Most of our reviews seem to be focused on Google. Thanks, Cory
