The care is good and my mother is "content" (her word) there. That is most important. Staff are always friendly and clearly dedicated to residents' care. But their communications have occasionally been lacking and on several occasions I've had to follow up on routine matters that, in my opinion, should have been taken care of without my intervention. Everyone there was friendly and good. The only issues were at night especially and sometimes during the day the aides took a while to get her to the bathroom The dining was great and family could join.

I was looking for assisted living for my aunt. [name removed] was so helpful and answered all of my questions. The residents that I saw looked happy and were having a great time doing a baking activity. The apartment was adorable!

My mom moved in a few months ago. We were so anxious about the change for her. Every day since her arrival, my mom has improved. The staff are amazing, patient, and make her feel special. Mgmt is honest, responsive, and always present.

I have very little to complain about- the employees all can call you by name and offer any assistance they can. Really enjoy the music piano players.

When I first interviewed with The Terraces at Westminster. I felt a sense of collaboration and team effort to help meet my mother's needs. However, once she became a resident. I have observed the inconsistency of staff. The administrative staff seem to be veterans. And, are actively involved with the residents. Yet, I have concerns and grievances when it comes to following through on a daily basis. Are my mother's daily needs being attended to on a regular schedule? I see a posting on what days her laundry, meal time, and housekeeping days are to be done. Yet, I observed either sporadic or random times. If, at all.

I toured this facility and it was nice! The facility was very clean and I believe they had Medical Staff at the facility. Everyone that I came into contact with was very friendly. We didn't end up choosing this facility, but I imagine it would have been a good place for my loved one. There was a waiting list for a private room and there were very few private rooms there.
We chose The Terraces at Westminster because we liked what the facility offered and their pricing as well. The facility and staff are very nice and friendly. My mom complains about the food, but I'm finding she is a picky eater.

The staff are really great! Especially the floor nurses. I do think housekeeping could use some improvement. Everyone is super friendly. The place itself looks homey and clean it's the individual rooms that need improvement. Lovely porches. The price I think compared to other facilities was midway.

I loved visiting "The Terraces" and meeting with [name removed]. She was so knowledgeable and genuine. This place reminds me of the farm my Dad has lived on most of his life with the patios, beautiful landscaping and vast porches, I know he would feel at home here. I was really drawn to it's country farmhouse vibe specifically for that reason. I also liked the social atmosphere as there seemed to be a real sense of community and last but not least, it was very clean and tidy.

I found the Terraces at Westminster through A Place Called Mom. The Terraces has been very ideal for my elderly relative who has a lot of health challenges. The staff at the Terraces have embraced her challenges. Our family is grateful for the kindness and care that is being shown to our aunt. Thank you also to A Place Called Mom for telling us about the Terraces.

I toured The Terrace at Westminster and I loved it, they staff were very nice and friendly. When looking for a community I had three criteria's; 1. ability to accommodate my brothers level of care, 2. great food because he's picky and needs to gain weight, and 3. a good location. It was a small clean community and they were able to handle his level of care. We chose another community because my brothers doctors and appointments are all in Pennsylvania and The Terrace is in Maryland. If this community was in Pennsylvania, it would've been a top option.
We chose The Terraces because they came recommended to us because of the location and the type of care they provided. The physical layout of the facility was the nicest out of all of the other places that we toured. The value for the money was also comparable as well. There have been a couple of little bumps in the road and they have not been the best with communication so that could use improvements. Overall we are pleased with the experience and my mom is adjusting well.

Sunrise of Carroll is awesome! Sometimes my loved one can be difficult and they have been marvelous to work with and assisting my loved one. There has been a variety of food for my loved one and they go the extra mile to assist with finding new things to eat as well for my loved one.

Our family had an in person tour and we were very excited at first because Sunrise was right around the corner from where we lived, but immediately it seemed more institutional. It gave off an old manor feeling and we were concerned with our loved one navigating through the rooms with her walker. The outside needs some TLC, however all of the staff members we met with did a great job on the tour and were all extremely friendly.
After touring, we decided that Sunrise was just too expensive, and for my loved one, it felt like a hotel. The place we ended up at felt really warm and homey. Sunrise just felt like you were going to a hotel. It was too big, and I knew that my loved one was not going to like it there. It was nothing at all that they did, and some people like a big place and like having a lot of people around them. It just came down to what my loved one would prefer.
