Response from The Terrace at Priceville
September 25, 2024Thank you so much for your kind review and your recommendation! We're thrilled to hear that you and your family were impressed by The Terrace at Priceville. Our team takes pride in creating a welcoming and friendly environment, and we're glad it stood out to you!
What our family likes most about The Terrace at Priceville is the friendliness of the staff. Yes, we would recommend them to other families, but they are very expensive to [fee removed] a month. The community is Cissy with active vies in morning and afternoon, nurses communicate. The Terrace has parties for the rest dents and family had a delicious BBQ for Father's Day. The staff talks to the resident all day long.. it is a good place.

June 26, 2024Thank you for your review! We're thrilled to hear that you appreciate the friendliness of our team and the engaging activities at The Terrace at Priceville, including special events like our Father's Day BBQ. We are grateful for your kind words for our team and are honored by your recommendation!
You have to advocate for your family member. This is 2nd memory care facility my mom in. I now think they are all pretty much the same. Areas for improvement. Lack of training in memory care. Basic needs at times ignored. Not cutting up food or allowing enough time to eat. I doubt she is getting enough to eat. So much wrong, but hey, work ethic is not what it used to be and such a shame since memory care houses one of the most vulnerable populations that cannot speak up and tell you anything that goes on behind locked doors. I don't recommend any type facility for anyone. Best solution is to take care of your loved one yourself, but that is unrealistic. I have to work and her care is too much for one person 24/7. Wish I could. Some good staff at Terrace, but not consistently meeting needs. The very best thing I can say about the Terrace is that I am only several minutes away.

My mom has only been there for about 6 or 7 weeks as of [date removed] so far, so good. We are still in transitioning period trying to get her to join in on activities, she has finally started ordering her dinners and she likes them. Anytime, I have needed anything, [name removed] and/or [name removed] have been on top of it. I appreciate the diligence And kindness. Mom did say she liked her cottage and was happy.

March 27, 2024Thanks for sharing this Kathy. It is wonderful to read that your mom is getting settled in and is very happy here at The Terrace at Priceville. We picked this community for our loved one because, of the close proximity to me. There is room for improvement. I expect more for the money. The staff should do better or get paid more for quality care of resident, their well being and their belongings.

The tour was nice. The facilities had a construction area from a recent flash flood. It ws clean and quiet. When they found out that my loved one, had to go to the hospital to get his meds adjusted, they told us he was not a good fit for them.
Response from The Terrace at Priceville
May 17, 2023Thanks for taking the time to visit The Terrace at Priceville. It is our responsibility to assess each resident's needs prior to move-in as we want residents to call The Terrace home for years to come. When an individual will need a higher level of care than we can provide we will let families know and help with suggestions of other communities that may be a better fit for their loved one. Best wishes as you continue that search and let us know if we can be of further assistance.
My loved one is a resident at The Terrace at Priceville. We've been very pleased with this facility. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend The Terrace at Priceville to family and friends.

The Terrace has been very good for my loved one. My wife and I are very pleased. My only real complaint is that it can be kind of difficult to get out of the memory unit when you are trying to leave. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The meals are very good.

April 29, 2022Thank you Brenda. It was wonderful to read your feedback on the community and team, and we are thrilled to know that right from the very beginning everything has worked out so well for your family. We're glad to see that mom loves the programs offered at The Terrace and we appreciate your kind words about how our entire team cares for -- and cares about -- her.
Just wanted everyone to know what happened to my Dad!! They let him get so badly dehydrated, he has been in Hospital for over 8 days now. My Dad has Alzheimer's, so that has really set him back. We will not be going back, well put it this way he can't go back because he has to learn how to sit up, walk and talk again!! The dehydration has set him back so much. I so really sad, and mad about things!!! I just don't understand why they let this happen!!!!

April 29, 2019Kenneth, I am the Executive Director and I am sincerely interested in your comments. We do have measures in place to encourage hydration. These would include hydration stations, drinks with snacks 3 times a day and drinks when medications are given. We also encourage our residents to consume liquids at mealtimes. I would welcome an opportunity to have a conversation with you. Please contact me at your convenience at the community. Thank you for your consideration.
I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

I think they are doing pretty good. There have been a few little things that have come up, but so far we haven't had any major complaints. So far things are working out.

I trust it for my mother. There were a couple of reasons for picking this community. One was that they had an opening and it was close to where I live. Her room was spacious. The food is very nice. The people are very caring.

Response from The Terrace at Priceville
June 10, 2014We are honored that you offered us the opportunity to serve your loved one. However, we felt that your parent needed a higher level of care than we could provide at The Terrace of Priceville. Our Residents and Family member’s safety, happiness and peace of mind are always our top priority. Please be assured that we reviewed all of the information that the hospital sent regarding your parent’s care very closely and carefully considered your loved one’s situation. Unfortunately, we did not feel that we could meet your loved ones needs and sincerely hope that you can find a setting that offers the kind of care and attention needed for someone facing Lewy body dementia. If you should need anything more from us or if you have any questions that you would could answer for you, my door is always open. Callie Simmons, ALA Executive Director The Terrace at Priceville
The first thing I noticed when I visited this community was that the residents looked happy. Some people were sitting outside in locking chairs and chatting happily. The people working there were all friendly. My relative was adamant about being capable of taking care of herself. So, I found an Independent Living apartment within the community. However, in less than 2 months, her condition worsened and it became necessary to move her into an assisted living room. Everybody there helped me make this move. The maintenance person even moved some furniture!!! I wished I could do something nice for him, but the rule there does not allow me to give anything to any particular employee there. I have been having some difficulty dealing with my relative, and the people there listen to me with patience and give me some encouraging words. They always take time to talk to you. My relative is happy with people there. She said everyone is ready to assist her if she asks anything. It has been only two weeks since she moved into an AL room, but I believe she will get used to it and get to know more people. It is better for her than living in a big house all by herself although the loss of her house and independence is very hard on her. I highly recommend this community.
