The most disconcerting fact is that my family member, who has been living at this facility for the last few years, is running out of their savings and no one at the facility is wanting to help find a more economical Assisted Living facility that will eventually accept medicaid when my parents life savings has run out. The tremendous amount of stress that is causing my family and my parent is almost unbearable. I understand that this is privately owned facility and it won't accept Medicaid so when the persons money runs out and they have nothing left, they are required to leave, but where do they go? Please don't take all of my Mom's hard earned money and then when it runs out and then not help with finding another place for her to reside.

If your mom has dementia/Alzheimer and needs 24hr. supervision this is not the place to send her. She was on a memory care floor and had 5 falls within 30 days, 2 days in a row, and had to go to the emerg. room 3 of those 5 falls . She came out worse than when she went in. Her last fall got her a hairline fracture on her pelvis.

A Place for Mom has scored The Plaza at Pearl City 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
