The staff is fantastic! Facilities are excellent. Mom loves the folks and activities. They treat her like family and take care of her just that way. We couldn't have found a better place or better folks for Mom to be around. We are extremely grateful that such a class facility is so close to us.

The staff were all very helpful with my loved one at this community. This is a nice place for your loved one but it is very expensive. I never seen any activities from the times that I was there with my loved one.

Our loved one came from a previous community and it is just a night and day experience. The Pinnacle is amazing, our loved one is happy there and she is actually getting out and about. The staff members actually care about their residents, and every 3 months they sit down with the families to go over the care plan and make any changes if needed. The activities director is incredible, the nursing staff is amazing. everyone there is just amazing we have nothing but positive things to say we could not ask for better.

It’s a shame that some pathetic self entitled nobody felt the need to degrade this community! These are some of the most compassionate human beings I’ve ever encountered! When my mother was dying, the Director personally offered her condolences and made sure my family from Texas, were welcomed and made to feel at home! Pathetic! Some people cannot be happy. They are simply miserable human beings! Hermitage Gardens Oxford is wonderful!

As a family member of a person who lives in the memory care unit, I couldn’t be more pleased. The poor review was the result of a disgruntled family unwilling to accept the poor prognosis of their loved one. On many occasions the husband of this resident has sworn, cursed, and demanded unreasonable things of the Director and staff, yet I witnessed their kindness still first hand. Hermitage Gardens Oxford is a wonderful place to live! The Director is one of the most compassionate individuals I’ve ever encountered!

The administration at this facility is exceptional! My mother is safe and loved! The staff go above and beyond to make sure her needs are met. The Director is a licensed social worker. She has an open door policy and is always willing to listen to family concerns. No appointment is ever necessary. I highly recommend Hermitage Gardens Oxford, MS!

My experience with Hermitage Gardens in Oxford has been very positive as the staff and leadership have been attentive to my family’s needs as well as my loved one’s health and well-being. You can tell the personnel at the facility have a passion for helping others and I am thankful for the time and attention they give to the residents as well as their families and other loved ones.

After looking at the location I thought it would be better for a community to be close to my mom's friends. In my research i saw that they are a newer and nice community. I liked how it looked but also found that the price was great.

It is going very well for my dad and we are happy with the community. He is doing well, there has been a few little glitches here but as a whole we are happy. It is clean community and he has started a few activities that is offered. I liked the community because it is close and in the same town so if anything happens we can be there quickly.

My loved has made her self right at home at this community. The staff have been wonderful at helping her adjust and making her feel comfortable in her new living environment. The meals have been excellent as well as the different activities they have to offer throughout the day.

My wife is a resident on the memory wing and they are very supportive. The transition is the hardest part of the journey and with their help both she and I made it through. I have found EVERYONE to be friendly and caring. Most of all they are sincere. The kitchen is clean and the meals are restaurant quality. Yes, I recommend them for your loved one. Visit there several times and ask questions Observe how the residents act and interact with the staff. Make sure you visit the memory wing and you will really see how well they care for those most in need of help.

We were told that this would be the last move for Mom. Read you contract! When the admin decided my mom was no longer at a level of care that they could provide, we were given 2 choices. Pay additional for 24 hour care or vacate in 30 days. [removed]

Response from The Pinnacle of Oxford
October 12, 2015I am the Executive Director and I would like to address your concerns. The comfort, safety and happiness of each resident is very important to us. When changes have occurred and we can no longer meet the needs of the resident or our state regulations, it is our ethical obligation to be honest with the family and to help them find the appropriate community. I do understand that this is very stressful for families and we try very hard to help in every way that we can. I am sincerely sorry as wanted this to work too. Kerri Harrison, Executive Director.
We contacted A Place For Mom when we were in desperate need of help. A Place For Mom told us about Hermitage Gardens, here they worked with us to fit our needs and budget. They have always been very kind, friendly, mom is always clean, her room is clean and there are no odors. Also, the food is very good, mom has not lost her appetite. It is a good place all around. I believe the Director is leaving ant the end of August and we are hoping that everything stays the same.

A Place for Mom has scored The Pinnacle of Oxford 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
