I have been very pleased with the Palms. It took my mom about 9 months to make the transition then 1 day she just did the flip and is very happy there. The entry is beautiful. I just like the overall facility. I like the setup. The cafeteria is in the middle, so no one has to walk very far, and they have a court all the way down the middle so everyone has a wonderful view and back door.... Read more

The cost is much more reasonable but the care is basically the same. The major difference is that they use an outside service called Senior Doc. A PA or Dr visit instead of my having to take her to her appts. It's made a huge difference. Getting her & her walker in & out of my car is exhausting for both of us. They also take weekly vitals. The only drawback here is that they don't respond to maintenance requests. The drain in her bathroom sink isn't connected so it leaks all over the floor. She has to use the kitchen sink. We've requested they fix it several times.

I am absolutely pleased with The Palms of San Lauren community. They have been very professional and courteous. My mom was having problems with her medication but it was with the doctor and not The Palms. She is currently using their PA and receiving medicine from their preferred pharmacy with no problems.

What we really like about The Palms of San Lauren is that the staff are very kind and responsive. The in-house doctor situation has limitations but we are working through those. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

There was not much landscaping on the exterior of the building. The interior was beautiful. This would be a good community for loved ones that need assisted living.
We picked this community because, of the closeness to my home, smaller facility, clean and friendly staff, and they had a large one bedroom available. They could improve on, the food, and add more activities and outings.

Every time I go to visit, I am surprised at what I see.. a resident that cant get out of bed threw up on the floor around 8 am this morning.. I went to visit at 6pm and it was still on the floor . seems that they pass the buck quit a bit. dirty diapers pile up in the small trash can . The rooms get stinky and its not fair to the resident to have to smell it all day . The rent there is pretty pricey...the whole place looks amazing when you first come in...BUT don't let that fool you...once you move in you'll see its not what you get..in the interview they made it sound like the best place to be..im learning that isn't so...the resident hasn't been out of her bed in more then 2 months not even for a shower...the people in charge have been told ..but nothing ..tonight I took photos of the throw up on the floor and the kitchen wall with junk on it and the refrigerator was full of rotten food as well....that amount of rent, it should NOT be like this. just wanted other families to be aware...

This community had been hit hard by covid. It was really quiet and empty when I was there.
We chose The Palms of San Lauren because it was brand new and he needed immediate care, they were very nice and easy to work with. He does have a private his room is big enough for his bed and dresser and a tv. The location is good. it is close to shopping areas. I would recommend to others looking.

This community is extremely clean, and they provide the best quality care that they can. They also try and expand their care because some of the residents there have continuous problems so they really are doing the best they can. They have their own chef and their own ice cream bar. They have changed the activities director a couple of times, and each times the activities get better and better. There is always something going on. We also think the value is great.

The have been very accommodating with my mom. The staff are very caring. They have allowed her to have her cat in the memory care. It has been a very positive experience. We chose this community for its location and it was brand new. The staff really have been very proactive during this pandemic. The have been good with communication. Their focus, during this time, has been on keeping their residents safe. I think the food is great and they have a great chef.

A Place for Mom has scored The Palms of San Lauren 9.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
