The Palms La Mirada Senior Living

The Palms offer a variety of room sizes for residents to chose from, and they have been extremely careful during this time, they have been no problems. Overall we have been very pleased.

If you don't have a limitation of location, I would recommend you to look elsewhere for your loved one. The food has become horrible, and is being delivered to the residents rooms. We have received food that is not edible. They are trying to bring residents back into the dining room. I feel the community shouldn't be bringing back the residents into the dining room. This isn't safe due to an active COVID case in the community.

The place is great! First-class all the way. Employees treat you like royalty. Food is fantastic. The apartment are superior. Everything and everybody are super. I recommend this place to everyone who is retired. Fantastic people and food. This place is #1.

I moved in here, bringing my husband who had a stroke. It was perfect for our needs! He died after 3 years and I am here by myself, my home has been sold so this has become my home! I have made friends here and find The Palms a very comfortable place to live. The office has quite a few very capable, friendly workers whom I enjoy!! I have no complaint!

My mom moved in 2019. She made so many friends since she moved in. The food staff is helpful to her and the food tastes good. The service from the front desk, kitchen, housekeeping, servers, maintenance, Etc and office workers are so friendly and very helpful. Thank you.

I've had the pleasure of living in this community for 5 years now. During that time I've met some wonderful people, both staff and residents alike. The Palms offers a variety of foods and activities that is sure to please.

Overall I am very glad to have my loved ones living at The Palms. I greatly appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The physical building (inside and out) is attractive, welcoming, and homey. I love the large windows in the apartments! The office manager [name removed] (not sure if that's her title) and assistant manager [name removed] are very responsive and really care for the residents. As a corporate-owned property, I'm not always pleased with the top-down management, particularly regarding communication with residents and their families. While they've done a FANTASTIC job protecting the community from COVID-19, the communication coming from corporate is vague and gives the impression that they're driven more by fear of liability than being transparent with residents and their families. That's unfortunate but not unusual with large corporations.

The staff at The Palms is very friendly. Management and office technical were always very friendly and understanding of our family's situation. The cost of the community is a little high especially for a single resident. They have only light entertainment and light social options. Overall, the care is good quality. There were a few incidents where they were not able to assist my aunt because they were understaffed. They also seemed to have some issues with time management, so there was limited help available. Aside from that, the care giving staff was always very attentive, which we appreciated. The staff seems adequately trained and they do seem to care about ensuring new staff are familiar with the needs of the residents. The building itself is in a nice quiet area. It was very continent for my family to get to and we liked the location. My aunt when she first moved was not participating in many activities, however as time went on, she began to participate more and more. While my aunt didn't always take part, there were always activities available for the other residents.

This seemed to be a great place! Every thing was clean and well maintained. [Name removed] seemed very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about this facility. Out of my budget range, however.

I loved the tour and the lunch. I found the roome clean and the staff very friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the pools was not on the propertly. I loved that it was pert friendly.

My mom lived at the Palms for 12 years and was extremely happy. Her apartment was very nice, the hand man was always available to makes any repairs and my mom was happy with the food and activities. Transportation is available for doctor's appointments. Everyone, management and residents, were gracious. I highly recommend the Palms.
