My dad was here for about a month. When I went there, more times than I would’ve liked, there was a smell that was evident. I don’t know if it was the patients and accidents or if things just weren’t getting cleaned up quickly. The laundry would go missing, there were other peoples’ clothes in my dad’s closet too and none of them even fit him. I didn’t eat there, but the food looked okay. I would say my biggest problem was with the staff – not the nurses or the CNAs, they were very nice and I could call and see how he was doing anytime I needed to. But the actual office staff was my problem. I would talk with the “nurse navigator” and it was evident to me that she didn’t know my dad at all. They didn’t seem to read information that came with him from the rehab hospital. When we decided to move him to a different facility, I requested the information that we would need to give to the new place. When we were given that information, everything was incorrect. They tried to say that my mom and I weren’t around when they needed to talk to us, but I was there almost every day for 3 weeks. If they had a problem, and one of us wasn’t around at the time to talk to, they could’ve called us. I didn’t feel like they treated my dad like a person and when his Medicare ended, they only gave us 48 hours to move him out. It was really not a good experience
