About the facility The Mayflower

In Lexington, Virginia, The Mayflower offers excellent assisted living for seniors and their families. Tucked in the scenic Shenandoah Valley, Lexington is known for its beautiful landscape and its history. Visitors can walk the Blue Ridge Parkway or visit Stonewall Jackson’s house. Lexington is a small town, meaning it’s quiet and peaceful and an ideal place to settle down.

Located in a building that was formerly a grand hotel, The Mayflower is in a stately, upscale neighborhood of colonial houses. A covered front porch is a popular spot to talk to neighbors or enjoy a lovely fall evening. Families and loved ones can choose between private and semi-private rooms, which come furnished, although most residents spend more time in the common areas. The dining room is comfortable and spacious, and the activity room is stocked with supplies for any hobby.

As a family-owned community, The Mayflower functions as an extended family by welcoming seniors with genuine kindness. Staff is available on-site 24 hours a day, and a licensed nurse and nurse aids are available as well. In addition, there's a full-time activity director, dietary staff, and maintenance director whose jobs are to keep residents as happy, healthy, and engaged as possible. A...

Too Much Of A City Feel

This community was nice however it was located on a busy main street and it had too much of a city feel for my dad and I didn't think it would have been a good choice for him. The community was nice it was clean and looked well cared for. The staff was nice and helpful.
