Placed my wife in this facility with stage 4 brain cancer. We are attempting to discover how she fell out of the bed while bed-ridden. Management failed to install fall protection apparatus after receiving consent . Dont know how long she was on the floor. There was also a hole 12 x 12 at the foot of her bed the following morning. We took photos of the huge hole in the wall. After the fall the wife was admitted into hospital with a very large tumor in her upper head. Images will reveal the injury caused her midline to shift in her shift 4 inches over the required limit. Three days later she passed away and we were denied medical records. RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVE AT THIS FACILITY!!!!!

My uncle was admitted to the facility for rehab. He very much enjoyed his stay. Staff was so helpful and friendly. Our questions were always answered and all our concerns were addressed in a timely manner. I would recommend everyone out there to check this place out if they want their loved ones to be taken care of the proper way. The home is very clean too.

Terrible experience with admin! [name removed] is monstrous. I regret leaving my Mom in the care of these people. I do not recommend this place.

Staff is constantly changing and inconsistent. Amenities are lacking, the maintenance of the facility is poor. (summer time the AC was broken...many times). [name removed] (the former administrator) was completely incompetent. [name removed] would fire and blame everyone else for issues in her own house. Our mistake was leaving my mom there as long as we did. We received updates on my mom regarding her condition ONLY WHEN we brought things up to the nurses. No transparency at all until the very end when we informed them that we were changing facilities. State involvement was too little and too late for that place. Look on their site regarding COVID. Within 3 weeks, Hillcrest went from 1 Covid resident case to 63. 18 Nurses. No outside contact with family. Without oversight of my mom for the past few months, they managed a great job of pushing my mom to her grave.

I am happy with the nursing care my loved one is receiving at Hillcrest of North Dallas. He is there for therapy and those services seem to be going well also. From what I have heard they say he is doing great with therapy. Throughout the experience, the staff has been very friendly.

The staff, though usually friendly when I visit is ok but I haven’t observed the same friendliness to either of the two patients I visit. They are understaffed and often the call alarms are constantly ringing. The stench of urine over the Christmas holiday was awful. Sadly that wasn’t the first time the smell has been so strong. When faced with a choice of rehabs for my mother-in-law I didn’t even consider Hillcrest and would never recommend this facility. I’m sure the PT is fine but the living conditions are not.

We are having a great time. He had a very good experience there. We would like to see him in his regular clothes more often. They are all amazing and very emotionally connected and concerned. They cried with us and shared their stories. The nurses are all very dedicated. I have not seen any issues with cleanliness. Sometimes the meals come inconsistently and they put the trays in front of them and they walk away. I have not gotten any updates and they called last week about his medication and it was very disturbing because the medication was not appropriate for my dad.

My loved one enjoys the activities, but she doesn't have a lot of friends. Personally, I love the facility, but I can't make her feel the way I feel. I think they're understaffed. My mom had an expectation, and since she has been there they have not meant her expectations. Almost all of them are friendly. The administrator is not friendly at all. The nurses call me for every dose change, I appreciate that. I think the dining area is nice and clean. However, my mom does not enjoy their food. Talking to the administrator is like pulling teeth.

The staff is very responsive. They update me when I am there, but not when I call. I have problems getting people on the phone. The meals are spotty.

I would definitely recommend the facility! It has been very good so far. We are still working with them on some issues, but they have been excellent with helping us during this process. We are very pleased with the cleanliness! I noticed that on the weekends the meals are slacking. For one of the days, they served a sandwich for lunch and another for dinner. It would be impossible for me to say the communication is excellent, but overall, I am satisfied with it.

It is okay so far. We were there before and this is our second time there. The physical therapy is wonderful. All of the therapists are great. The aides work very hard and are very sweet. The food is pretty good. The staff is working to communicate better. I have to ask the nurse some things myself. I have some trouble with when the meds are given.

My mother was there five years ago, and they were so good to us then. She said if she had to go back somewhere, she wanted it to be Hillcrest. They are really good people. When we had to bring mother back, it was like bringing her home. We didn't have to worry. They are really good about communicating. They have called us several times on different occasions.
